[I think you should go and apply in the us quote author=twojul post=93100352]Hello everyone. Please is there a way to know the available dates for biometrics appointment for UK visas before submitting your application? I’ve got an unused US visa that expires at the end of next month and I want to travel to the US next month for 2 weeks before the visa expires but I’m worried that when I submit my UK application online the biometrics dates will be too far like maybe 2 weeks ahead. Then before I add the time they’ll hold my passport my US visa will have expired. So please how can I see the available biometrics dates before clicking submit. Thank you. [/quote]

Hello. If you have friends that applied with the different centers, you can ask them to check for you by clicking 'amend appointment' on their dashboards. They'll just log in and view but they don't need to click any dates. I hope this helps.

Well, the answer is No. The Biometrics portal is a third party commercial site which gov.uk directs you to once you have submitted your online visa application. You cannot access the portal until the visa application is submitted. The visa application gives you a unique GWF ref no with which you open an account with TLS - the Biometrics portal.

On the flip side, if you know someone with an active UK visa application who has booked appointment for Biometrics but yet to attend, they could log in and tell you what dates they could see owing that both of you are using the same centre. This is just hardwork to be honest. Besides, even if you are able to get a Biometrics day in good time, no guarantee exists as to when your application would be decided. Best bet is do the US visit first before UK application.

Thank you! I’ll just ask here if anyone hasn’t done their biometrics and I happy to check dates for me. Hopefully someone comes through.

Hello guys,

I stays in Enugu. Is it possible for me to do my TB test medical and Biometric the same week? If so how can I do it? because traveling from enugu to Lagos just for only medical is waste of transport fare.

Option1: Self service- Go to lagos, do your TB test then submit application and upload documents, book appointment. This might not be feasible because you might not get an appointment same week due to the current situation unless you do walk-in if that is available

0ption2: Assisted self service- Submit your application and book biometrics then go to lagos for TB test. On your biometrics day, they will help you upload your documents at a cost of about 11k.

You get TB certificate same day if you don't have TB. Usually, when you want to book for TB ,you have option of telling them when you would come provided it is up to 1week time.
So book TB,chose next day for visa walk in. But check for available walk in date before booking for TB. It is easier to get date of your choice for TB than for biometrics.

You have to provide evidence of how your money accrued. Paper evidence.
There’s no way to escape this if you want to be granted a visa.

Thank you I will work on your advice

Please gurus in the house, is it true that paying your full tuition fees can help prove you’re a genuine student?

Also can not mentioning the exact company you want to work after school (bsc) during the interview affect your chances of getting a visa?

First - yes paying your tuition fees shows your genuinely seeking to enter as a student

2nd - since you are applying for a student visa its advisable you are silent about anything work.

I need help with the process of applying for uk tier5 temporary work visa..how to get CoS and chances of getting the visa here in Nigeria, anyone with useful information??

Your first action is to search for a charity organisation in the UK that will give you COS if you met their requirements.

Then you visit this link to read how to go about the visa application https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/795425/Final_Tier_5_Temporary_Worker_Guidance_05-04-19.pdf

OMG! Why does it take such a long time ? Did you pay full tuition ? Maybe they’re trying to give a precise date as most schools rescheduled their resumption dates..

Hi guys,

I have a question with regards to family application. I can't seem to see it as a service being offered on TLS website. How do I go about sending in the application as a family as they are just submitting one document. Thanks

They kept requesting for an updated bank statement from me that's why, but thank God they have approved one recently. My tuition was paid in full since December
