Please Who Can Unravel This Transaction? by Magnumproperty: 9:57pm On Aug 27, 2020
Hello house, pls pardon my grammar.
My sister came back from the office on Wednesday evening claiming that I withdrew some amount of money from her account. I told her I didn't. I asked her if she gives her ATM card to anybody In the office and she answered in the affirmative. That same Wednesday evening she received a message from paystack which contains a particular link that ends in 'Lookup Lagos" and N160 was debited from her account. I googled it and I found out that it pertains to you detecting where a transaction originated from. I checked her account statement and entered the screenshot of the transaction and send it to paystack portal. What came up was " you were debited for a transaction made to Opay on August 25, 2020.
What i dont understand is this; how was the transaction made to Opay from her account without her knowledge? She didn't know when the debit alert was deleted on her phone or probably her bank didn't send the debit alert. I told her to call other staff in her office and check if any one has an Opay app and trace the transaction details on their phone. Please help me unravel this transaction and proffer a better solution solution.

Her atm details must have been stolen, probably at the ATM machine or POS.

Once your ATM details are copied .. Scammer would now make use of the stolen info to shop or make payment online .. There are many porous online apps scammers use to orchestrate their evil act.

Tell your sister to be extra careful when using ATM machine, not everyone on queue is there to make transaction, some are there to shoulder surf.
