Please Advice Me

Please NLs advice me, I am serving my Oga what we Igbo people call (Igba boyi) now I am saving his money mostly from profit, I want to use the money to start my business when I am settled and it has reached 1.3m but my mind is telling me to show him the money while the other mind is telling me not to show him the money.

Please advice me on this.

add those money to what you normally remit to him in batches. he would think you make more profit and you are faithful

That your oga opened a branch for you, is for you to grow your independent money making prowess. The answer you seek lies in the fact that as long as you still serve him, every profit made is his .. profit is what grows the business( and you are busy hoarding them)
A boy whom they opened branch for can spend be money from the shop to buy clothes, shoes and things but thats when it's necessary but saving ogas money is out of the equation.
Oga started the business with his money, hence the profits are his. Gosh, you still dey serve..and don't have your own money.
Go and and ask those that saved their oga's money how far. It always ends in tears.
Finally, don't use your hands to destroy your God given future cos of Ill advice and greed. May God bless you as you restitute .

OP how about you siphon the money gradually back into your oga's business or weekly remittances without actually telling him? That way, you have cleared your conscience and also saved yourself from the palaver that would have ensued if you came out clean to your oga.

oga, if you show your master that money, you are gone, and your years in service wasted. Since the money is from excess profit that means you did not touch his money, but if you touch his money then your conscience will keep disturbing you. Don't put somebody else money in your pocket. It will spoiled the good money in the business. Trust me I know what I am talking about
Re: Should I Give My Oga The N1.3M I Saved From His Business Or Do I Keep It? by DaBillionnaire: 8:25pm On Aug 28, 2020
There should be other ways you can return the money without letting Oga know, whenever he sends you to buy a restock, you can always buy more with the money or whenever you are to deposit cash in the bank, you can add the money to it. Just think of a way.

I love your sincerity, may God reward you.

Return that money back from where you took it, otherwise kama awaits you even if your oga doesn't catch you.

Those money aren't proceed from Oga shop or Oga gains but the exhobitant gains due to overpriced gave to customers. The money belong to the customers who patronize ur shop because no one saved such from Oga gains n d business still pumping. This is one big problem we have in this country. Making lots in the name of gain by draining other people's pocket. For those working with fixed salary will be on the receiver end, so tell me how will corruption end.

It is well.
That's why we are not moving forward in this country . We just care for our selfish interest not minding other people.. And we blame our leaders for fraud.

Las Las everybody be criminal or offenders for naija.

It is your money not your oga...you save it from excess profit..you have accounted for the sales,no short fall and there is no allegations. Therefore the fund belong to you.If you give him the money he would never trust,he will believed you have more than that.. closed your eyes and move on...

Brother man, if I can deduce what you meant by savings made from profits.....you mean you sold goods above the price tag given by your boss(Oga). In other words you kept back the excess you made from those sales, hence the business you are managing on his behalf is not starved of funds because the expected returns are actually visible.
If that be the case you are smart business guy, you made a wise decision by saving up to such amount. You are a wealth Creator. Keep the money, it belongs to you, inasmuch he is not away of it and does not affect the success if his business.
So, apply wisdom to make sure he does not know,if he does he make tag you a thief and this may affect your settlement.

I was given a seperate shop to manage and I am really doing fine there, I also gave him 500k and 400k two times when he didn't ask for it, this money I am talking about was the one I saved to use after settlement.

I guess what you are trying to say is you making extra profit instead of selling the goods lets say #500 you able sell it for a #1000, you give your boss 500 pocket 500.
Re: Should I Give My Oga The N1.3M I Saved From His Business Or Do I Keep It? by princessdoyenne(f): 8:29pm On Aug 28, 2020
Give him back the money. But give it back in batches, like 500k this month, 300k the next month.

Be sure that your actions don't look suspicious.

You sound like an honest person but please don't take the money

Oboy, don't ever try what you will regret until you will die. The country is about to go into recession, you may not have the opportunity to save that kind of money again and your oga may not be able to settle you if the recession bite harder. Lastly, your oga will begin to suspect you and start looking at you like a thief and tight the nooze against you by taking away your freedom

So you alone has 2 minds and u want to add up the minds of all other Nairalanders before u will have sense on a straight forward issue. What u did is called looting, but you are lacing it with sugarcoated explanations, that's why u are battling with guilt cos u didn't obtain the money directly as a gift from your Oga. But be assured that once you show him the money, u have shown yourself the way out and he wont settle U, cos he will never believe u don't have more looted funds stocked up somewhere. Since you've taken to this and you call it proceeds from profits, u must be stable enough to handle it, but if it was stolen then karma awaits you. If you are still confused, maybe your Oga prayer points in mountain of fire has caught up with you, it's time to go for confession and restitution b4 you develop high blood pressure on the small money u looted but cannot spend it.
you no go kill me with laugh .abeg help me ask am well only am get two minds and he still wan add our own join. I no believe his story..

You can return the money at intervals just like you did with this one. Please don't hesitate to return it if it is not yours remember God is watching you.

Re: Should I Give My Oga The N1.3M I Saved From His Business Or Do I Keep It? by jerrydelight(m): 8:37pm On Aug 28, 2020
if you made the money genuinely, keep it.
by genuinely I mean that you made that amount by being an astute salesman, selling oga's product above his specified minimum price and reaping some of the profits over an extended period of tim.

but if it was made by not recording some sales and other dubious mean, then give back to him.

don't show him the money, rather return it gradually by shooting up sales records. if you made sales of 100k today, find a way a present it that you made sales of 120-150k till he gets all the money back,

You can easily tell from the opinions above who is ibo and who isn't. No proper ibo man will ever advise anyone serving and learning a trade to pocket the gains from the business. Ibos believe quite strongly in Karma. The connection between master and apprentice goes far beyond settlement, in most cases they trade together in partnership long after the apprentice has been settled. The old master provides guidance, helps open doors with his connections and even refers customers to his newly settled apprentice for items he does not have.

This is precisely the problem with this country. Someone takes you in, teaches you a trade, feeds and takes care of you, opens up all his contacts gained over a lifetime to you, and also commits to setting you up in business after your service, and you are asking if you should keep the money you made from his business?

The secret to Ibo success in business is generations of people following this system of service. Do not break the chain. Do the right thing.

From personal experience.....

No man, I repeat, No MAN should handle his life in such a way that his (financial) life will be dependent on anyone else!

It doesn't matter the would be benefactor.

I wish you could digest this word and put it to use.

Nigeria is not Canada or USA....
