When asked whether the Senate’s plan had always been to pass the bill without considering public opinion, the source told SaharaReporters, “I am not sure about that, but they believe that Nigerians will accept it and move on the same way they have accepted the Broadcasting Code.”

My Verdict: These guys know that the worst Nigerians will always do is to complain for a maximum of 2days, once another national issue pops up, the previous will fade away and that's it. For e.g does anybody still talk about fuel increment again? Technically we have accepted it.

Have u been monitoring d build up to d Edo state governorship election? Have u noticed d way our so-called educated youths on this forum take sides & fight themselves over politicians who don't even no that they exist? Y can't these youths come together & fight for themselves against these politicians?

Have u noticed d crowd of people who troop to campaign venues to support their preferred candidates & parties? Y do these citizens still do that when previous campaigns & elections haven't benefitted them? If they are asked to come out& protest for their rights, would u see anyone?

Great move, Nigeria is edging towards major disaster if we don't control our cyberspace from some wicked bloggers and inciteful ,fictitious ,Libelous post made by crazy people

Only in an unregulated lawless Nigerian Social Media space would a lady wake up and accuse a stranger of rape on her Twitter page, or a scammer clone your account and steal your pictures and start impersonating you to use your profile to beg people for money and scam people

.
So if they pass it into law scammers I'll go? You are talking like a person that just came back from Gabon republic

Thankfully, the Senate house comprises of both PDP, APC and other parties. Who will wailers now hold responsible?
receive sense nau, this has nothing to do with political parties but a bunch of representatives that some people used their hands to pick and represent us, who now get there and started representing anything that favours them.

I am really concerned I don't give a f about the country anymore, now I am getting concerned for us as people, our stupidity and hypocrisy is getting worse by the day

Last time ordinary paster krest case, a case that most of those people criticising him or her were not witness to, something that happened in maybe 90s or early 2000 some idiots organised people to stage protest

Black lives matters, we joined them and police are killing people everyday like we operate a slaughter house as a country, no protest just rants

Where are those useless hungry lawyers who gathered people to protest krest case last time?.

Now this case that might send many of us to jail unnecessary and silence us finally till Nigeria turns Pakistan is being taken as something that is not serious

We may be under a particular curse of stupidly if a proper check is done

Its a shame...

I see the reason behind the statement.. Bad leaders are a result of bad followers/ populace.

Your biggest problem should be you lack of knowledge and understanding of what this bill is all about...
This is the system most developed countries use, same countries you always compare Nigeria to.
So you mean to say Nigeria and American Democracy are the same? Now get this, the effect of the said Bill in Nigeria ll be stretchly different from the Americans. So you tell me nothing
.
I understand till I die I'll always pursue knowledge... I expect you to understand the same

have you forgotten that that same tool can be used used for something good and still be termed bad if I am in govt, I throw you to jail and back it up by the law and your lawyers won't be able to do anything about it.

Things has both good and bad sides but when you see only the bad you would kill all the whole good it could have offered which is more than the bad.

Mind you this gvt don't know the difference between constructive criticism and hate speech, everything is hate speech. That is the essence of having a primary school cert as a president over well educated and decent elites

As crazy as America is with crazy Donald his won't dare something like this in US because civil unrest would cripple his gvt

I think most people in this country are bad that is why we keep picking bad leaders to represent us.

The number of times we were lucky to have leaders who understands the suffering of the people and can also tolerate criticism is so few compared to the numbers of times we have elected bad people in gvt.

We should all check ourselves, something is wrong with us in this country.

so now must we be like him who rose to power by the same social media propaganda or whatever they call it, even Buhari was a beneficiary. And
2) The content of the executive order has no correlation to what we are talking about here

Whether as one country
