Nigerian Police! Who una wan deceive? Do you people have conscience at all?

Let everyone watch the video clip and read between the lines.
If the police could investigate the landlady's accounts and found nothing whatsoever linking her to all the allegations, why parading her?
Obviously they want to rope her in the case. Why? you may ask. The real kingpin fears that that landlady may talk. She may say what? That the late Uwaila may have been involved with the kingpin.
The main guy that made the confession obviously was involved. He sounds like he trying to cover up his sponsor hence the reason his trying to rope his landlady. Why didn't the police investigate his accounts? Oh...the police wouldn't want us to know that part.
The other guy's mom was just picked for no reason.
What I'm sensing here is that Uwa may have been pregnant for someone. Pregnant for someone who's reputation may have been at stake. To cover it up, uwa had to be taken care of so some boys were hired to do the job and paid some money. That is the only sensible reason to have murdered uwa.

Its just my wild imagination though.
And u made awhole alot of sense.

Could be true.

I have taken time to watch the video, and I must state the following;

1. Collins is the main suspect alongside Lucky. But Collins is being economical with the truth.

As for Lucky's mother, it is unfortunate that she birthed a societal misfit and doesn't appear to cooperate with security agents to nab her son.

2. The landlady owes the police some explanation. This is because she houses known criminal (Collins) and doesn't seem to make efforts to get him out. Also she could be one of those women that work with criminals. Collins can't "mention" her name if she was indeed clean.

3. Nelson, admitted to know Collins and the landlady. I suspect that he (Nelson) is a street guy like Collins and have done some dirty deals before.

4. The guy whose mother is in Germany should be let go if nothing incriminating is found in him. However, more investigation be done on him.

5. The phone repairer is a victim of circumstances. It is criminal to buy stolen properties but it is obvious that he did not participate in killing.

This case ll be a precedence to other murder and rape cases in Nigeria and must be handled properly.
Evidences are in and from the testimonies we can actually get the truth. The link to the solution to this case is Mr Collins...he hit the death blow with the extinguisher? Yea!
The Police must leave no stone unturned!
Its very agonizing to read this details of a traumatized death. Collins have the motive, tools, and drama to it's all.
Police must leave politics and focus on this case....

The dots will add up.. The confessing guy is a hardened criminal and a rapist. At the end the run away guy and him may be the only dots that form the line of this crime... So disjointed statement and confession his making.. Even a fool can see through his false fabricated storys by moon light tells.

Only truth he said was that he killed the lady.

Oga phone buyer I'm very sure that phone worth far more than 17k but you still bought it so i believe your conscience would probably have told you the phone was stollen ,but the criminal spirit in you still bought it .so baba na thief you be.madam i never see my son for 4months why was it when the police were looking for your son that you decided to go to the village ...all of them should be sentenced to death throwing them alive into a burning furnace of about 500degree centigrade

Murder or Homicide is bad but Wrong justice or conviction of innocent people is not any better. I'm not going to draw a conclusion or take sides or just speculate that anyone is guilty but all i have to say is that the investigation is very unprofessional and faulty.
In a typical homicide case, there are basically 3 types of evidence:
1. Eye witness account
2. Circumstantial evidence (evidence not physically present but can link the suspect to the crime example: The said 1 million)
3. Physical evidence (Murder weapon or any physical item that connects the suspect to the crime)

The least credible evidence is an eye witness account because anybody can say anything, to make the witness account credible, the witness should take a polygraph test.
My deductions from the confession video is that:
1. The only evidence the police has is the witness account, which is from a source that is not credible (Collins), He never took a polygraph but the police has based their arrest on his claims. the second evidence present is the mobile phone, which was sold by collins. So collins the prime suspect had the main evidence (Collins was definitely involved in the crime)
2. From Photos of the crime scene, The murder weapon was the fire extinguisher, and Collins admitted to hitting her with it, this means he played and active role, than the angel he is portraying himself to be.
3.The buyer of the phone should have been released,
4. No trace of the money is tied to any one, neither the said handkerchief, No DNA, even the motive for the murder is weak(firstly for rituals and later out of jealousy) circumstantially there is no evidence.
5. How can that poor woman who claimed to have (20k i guess in her account raise 1million ) she is not even the landlady but caretaker
6. In a civilised society you cant be detained for over 24hrs if not reasonably proven guilty
7. Collins is not being truthful and there is more to say, probably he was the sole perpetrator. he is a Tout and trust me, these touts are hardened and can swear on anything to implicate other people.
8. Every other person is maintaining innocence except Collins
9. Proper investigation should have been done before parading the suspects,
10. In as mush as we want justice for Uwas killers, lets be careful on convicting innocent people.
11. The police should have given a well proven argument on why they are guilty with well stated facts.

The police are useless, the mother of that boy should be released, criminal liability is personal and not transferred that's the law, they are breaking the law,
And it's not just that. It looks like the evidence against the landlady is at best circumstantial. At least based on what I heard in this video. This is a shoddy investigation, and the police has rushed to the media just to score cheap points. This is not right!

I totally agree with some of your points. The investigation looks at best shoddy, and the police has simply not done their work. They rushed to the media to win accolades from the public. This is just gross. How in the world they seem to have the main suspect (Collins), but have completely bungled this investigation is beyond me. I would have expected this to be a slamdunk, if they could (1) follow the money (2) use the DNA evidence adequately (3) check call logs to see who called who and when (4) use fingerprint evidence (5) and actually talk to people in the area to ask if Collins, Nelson and those other guys hang out together way before the lady's death.

But I disagree with the below from you:
3.The buyer of the phone should have been released,
He should certainly not be released outrightly, but instead investigated on whether he knowingly bought a stolen good. Not with consipring to kill the lady.

The least credible evidence is an eye witness account because anybody can say anything, to make the witness account credible, the witness should take a polygraph test.
You can't base decisions on polygraph tests. The results of polygraph test is at best a guide, not a fact.

Coronavirus84:
My advice for people of the public is to be very careful of whom you relate yourself with around you, the stupid woman that gave the contract to the foolish guys is well known by Uwaila's parent but they didn't think she can do such to them. They just wasted the life of a beautiful lady for just no reason. People are too wicked my people.

it’s so obvious dat the stupid Collins is only trying to implicate innocent people. It’s obvious he killed the girl alone, it’s obvious there z no 1million, no gang work or anything but he (Collins) made her ( Uwa) unconscious by hitting her with the fire extinguisher, raped her afterwards and left with her belonging (phone included) which he sold to d guy dat bought d phone. Every oda persons involved are just part of collin’s script (lie) for some reasons best known to Collins, maybe hate, they are innocent. My perspective.

Kudo to you guys though it's not easy to arrive at this junction when you're not even there when the offense was committed but you still manage to get the criminals. Bravo.

His story didnt checkout at all, the 1M and 1.5M narrative he gave is already looking like a lie. and he is the one feeling the heat more from his speech, seems like the spirit of the girl is already hunting him

Most of these guys are likely innocent. Does that woman look like someone that has 1million or will pay 1.5million to kill anybody? cheesy They should not kill innocent people oh please. Just carry anybody and put them in Abuja for 3months. Which kind of investigation and accusations be this. Even the mother of suspect, they carry from village. grin

As long as the son is still nowhere to be found the woman will continue her vacation in jail. That's the way things are done in the country and I support it in this case because it seems she aided her son in escaping and might really know of his whereabouts.

Is there no better way of getting the son?
Tracing the calls received by the mother, for example?
Messages and money transferred to her, is another.

Few things I could deduce from the videos.
Info1: Do not keep criminals together, it makes investigation tedious and difficult.
Info 2: That prime suspect is a confirmed criminal... See all marks all over him, previous police arrest was mentioned too.
Info 3: His story doesn't add up.
Info 4: reflecting on the crime scene back den, that lady wouldn't have struggled easily with four guys. I want to guess, probably one or two pple committed the act.
Info 5: Any innocent person can be framed up for any crime and be purnished for a crime not COMMITTED, DON'T JUST BE IN THE WRONG COMPANY.
NB : Nigerian police still need a lot of polishing.

Totally made sense.
Exactly how a strange boy collaborated with the police to frame a friend of mine that sells phone.

On getting to station my friend realized that the said boy has implicated not less than 5 people so far.

On arriving station after arresting him from his store on handcuffs by combat ready fully armed police, the guy was deeply terrified.
The police said he was part of a robbery gang and they killed someone in their last operation, and bailing is 50,000.

When a high ranking relative was contacted, they eventually released him for free...

After watching the video, I can categorically say that the guy(Collins) solely raped and killed the girl and now wants to rope all his perceived enemies into it...from what he said, he entered the church and sat with the girl and then someone came from the back n hit her with a 2/4 wooden and then he started having issues with them and them they wanted to fight him and then he reached out to the fire extinguisher and then hit the girl with it n still took her phone too n then he was the one that sold the phone too. That Collins of a guy is a devil himself

This is partly due to failed parenting. The Bible says we should train our children in the ways of the Lord so that when they are grown up, they will not depart from it. Till date, so many parents don't take spiritual things serious. Them and their children are not serving the Lord.

Another reason is single parenting. Most youths who commit crimes are from single parents. The father or mother couldn't give much attention to them.

The last reason is polygamous family. When a man has too many children that he cannot take care of because of the many wives he married, the result is some of the kids go into crime.

Embrace Christ and avoid cultism. The Christ life is the best life to live.
Yea most broken children tend to come from single parenthood or polygamous family..though there some who come from steady families but these are minute. Most of the armed robbers, ritual killers u see terrorising nigeria environs came from single parenting and polygamous families when they were kids.

Of cuz I would love to. But not everyone can afford to buy new phones all the time when you have other critical responsibilities. Some phones I bought new, some I bought uaed. The phone I'm using to type this, I bought it used. I always try to do due diligence to the best of my ability but I still pray God don't let me buy phone that is associated with crime. Even these phone shops are not safe. Imagine this guy now, he is a phone repairer. He bought the phone to re-sell. He didn't know it was a phone associated with a major serious crime of murder. Assuming police had not arrested him soon after buying the phone, the guy would have sold it to unsuspecting innocent buyer that went to his phone shop to buy phone. And that innocent buyer too will be sitting down with handcuffs among these poeple. This life ehn, may God deliver us from evil.
there are new phones that are affordable.Guy u know the country wey u dey and how naija police no get joy.No go buy cheap second hand fone cos of 1500 naira difference wey u go add just to buy a new phone and police go pick u cos the fone wey u buy from an armed robbery incident. If u want to buy a fone..go to SLOT.SLOT is situated in majority of the states in naija and they have affordable phones.Avoid second hand phones like a plague. If dem clamp God forbid u might end up spending three times more money to free urself more than the money u used in buying the second hand fone.
