Senate Chief Whip, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu is currently in a closed-door meeting with former head of state, General Abdulsalami Abubakar.

Igbere TV reports that Kalu, a former Governor of Abia State, arrived the residence of Abdulsalami in Minna, Niger State at about 3:30pm on Monday.

Senator Orji Kalu was immediately ushered into the ex-head of state's residence where he was received by General Abdulsalami himself.

Our correspondent in the tour reports that Kalu and Abdulsalami later proceeded for an indoor meeting which lasted over an hour.

The Chief Whip of the Senate earlier today paid General Ibrahim Babangida a private visit after which he proceeded to Abdulsalami’s residence.

Igbere TV had reported how Kalu arrived the power state at exactly 2pm on Monday alongside political friends, associates and retinue of aides.

He is expected to also visit the homes of Governor of Niger state, Abubakar Sani Bello and Emir, Etsu of Lapai, Niger State during the stay in Minna, the Niger State capital.

Kalu can be in open door meeting with anyone, but whether he runs for Presidency under APC or any other useless party, he will not have my vote or that of any of my families.

My families are actually Nigerians.

We will rather cast our vote for Umahi who we can see his obvious efforts despite his low federal allocation

OUK is the choice of God and man. He is so much loved. He is a unifier who will bring our country together and make us stronger as one. When he was governor of Abia state, he built the largest cattle market in the whole southeast in Lokpanta where northerners and other Nigerians come to trade. He speaks Igbo, Hausa and Kanuri fluently. He is a pan Nigerian. An embodiment of the Nigerian dream. OUK 2023.

It just gives a sense of unity and acceptance. If you have never been ridiculed and told in your own face physically and without mincing words that "you are not a Nigerian" and "your people will never rule this country" and told "you can never be trusted", then you have no right to say all you've said.

And please it's not called igbo president but Nigeria president of igbo extraction.
