Greatest uniben students, uniben never really made me feel great, right from the day I wrote my post utme which I prepared so hard for, down to my final year, because all my result were never reflection of the efforts which I put in.

Did anyone else feel this way, i would love to here from you.

If you came out with at least a second class, well move on and do better at the next thing you decide to do. I graduated from Uniben last December and to an extent I can relate, especially in some courses.


It's in the past now. Best to learn from it and move on.

Don't relent because it is not over until it is over. This may be because you are not really passionate about your course.

Never stop learning, be intentional about self development and the sky can be your stepping stone.

That was how I felt.

You never see anything. Na Uniben you dey use play? That school dey make intelligent men feel like wayward childs.

Uniben will almost choke life out of you

Uniben Will not have the chance to make me feel this way. but the school hard sha, na reading back to back

It's like the feeling is general. Then what to do is roll with the best students to know what's what.
Can we know the courses you are all studying or studied( for outgone students)?

omo at the end of session in my 200 level, I came back home so dark, emaciated and thin till my parents couldn't recognized me again.
That school literally stressed the life outta me
But it was worth it as I came out with a 2:1

It's the same thing everywhere in all public universities in Nigeria, i don't really know if it's the same in the private ones......first of all you have to do courses that are irrelevant to your course and then you'll have to face sadistic lecturers who will demoralise you at every given opportunity, then you'll have to go through all that physical, Emotional and Psychological Stress for 5-7 years (Because of ASSU), Believe me ,You'll have every reason to doubt your intelligence........i've heard of a Nigerian student who Graduated with a third class from UNN But when he went to the UK For his masters he came out with the best results in the school.

But I know for certain, there are some departments that would make you feel that way, mainly because of the nature of the lecturers and teaching style.
For example Education is synonymous with missing scripts. How do you expect one not to get frustrated.
There are some lecturers that would want to deliberately fail students.
That's why I love Engineering. You get what you write.
I partied throughout university. Womanized and all, skipped a lot of classes, I still made a 4.48
In fact I would have made a first class, if I hadn't been more unserious during my final year, for which I regret.
Yes I did read, and was naturally an above average student.
Bottom line, put in your best, and hope for the best.
Also try understand what works, those that do better than you , try liasing with them to understand better how to get better grades.
In the end, as you might later realize, grades don't matter much depending on what you hope to pursue, but get the best grades you can as it could potentially open ways for you.
If you can make a first class , please do
If you can make a 2.1 , please do
Just do your best.
Lastly , dont forget to skill up. Get a digital skill
A university certificate is not just enough these days.

I thought I was intelligent in uniben until I went to UI for masters... UI rubbish all of us wen come from others schools for masters
