Bro i feel your pain.. Online studies however dont count towards EE have that in Mind.... IRCC is taking Piss on all applicants simple
Informanta:
Though I feel concerned but I have decided to go for the fall online session whether visa is granted or not am so tired of always popping up to check updates, cos I don't know their plan again

Applied 15th July
Biometric request on 16th July
Biometrics updated 25th August

Fall Session starting sept 12

If visa isn't granted now, I would fully and squarely focus online and after my master's I would apply for permanent residency under skilled work programme, it's dat time they would have no option.

My only fear is if there would be option for students that are denied to have other semester as online even after the covid19.

Let me go and check Australia or Netherlands self....

Canada dis Canada Dat..... They are not the only country better than this shit hole called Nigeria

I migrated to Canada some years ago. Presently i am in Canada, hoping to connect with someone/people for the visual study.

Hello nairalanders, need some assistance here.
I graduated with a 2.2 in mechanical engineering in late 2017, did NYSC the following year. Now i want to further my studies in any closely related field (in a Canadian University), but considering my second class lower grade i won't be able to get an admission into most universities abroad. I know i will need to do a post graduate diploma before i do a Masters. Please i need info on affordable shools in canada that offer PGD in mechanical engineering...
Thanks y'all

Good evening everyone,

I trust you are good and had a great day.

Please i need useful tips on what i can lay claim on to make my home ties argument stronger?

1, Please just to add that i don't have a landed property yet,

2, I cannot get a study leave letter from my current place of work because this would raise eyebrow and they might not approve and i would be seen as a flight risk although, i have gotten a reference letter from them already which i think its enough not to raise suspicion.

I intend doing the below thus;

1, Get Pension account statement and reference letter.

2, Get a letter of attestation and that they are expecting me to resume after my studies from my dad's friends audit firm.

3, Majority of my family including my parents are here in Nigeria except my sister who is living in Dubai due to the nature of her job (air hostess)

Please what do you guys think, will any point above harm my applications and suggestions on more tips please?

Thanks in advance.

Why is Canada immigration confusing everything , thought they are the one that is giving students 3 years after their studies to look for job and stay in Canada, why then are they denying someone student visa based on the fact that they are not sure that the person will leave Canada after studies.

Please contact the international admissions of the proposed institution in Canada as your application shouldn't take this long. Nonetheless, you should be aware that most of the staffs are currently working remotely which makes it difficult to facilitate the processing of admissions at this critical time. Keep faith and be hopeful that you will be granted an admission soon.

Yes, it's possible to secure a job in Canada from Nigeria albeit at this present time, most companies in Canada are not recruiting foreign nationals due to the impact of the current global pandemic, instead some employers in Canada are laying off workers as a result of decreased business capitalization or low income to pay up their on ground staffs. I would suggest you pause for a while in search for job offers until after the COVID-19 travel restrictions has been lifted and activities are back to normal.

For further information on how to secure a job from Nigeria, please refer to the ATLANTIC IMMIGRATION PILOT PROGRAM THREAD ON NAIRALAND.

I don't give mere speculations here. I think its high time you all should understand my stance on any topic been raised here. If I am not too sure of a particular topic, I don't go into detail debating about it. I remember vividly and very clearly that I said it on this platform that the receipt of an AIP letter is NOT a guarantee that an applicant will be approved of the second stage. Many counterattacked my post and were obivoulsy thinking that I'm depriving people on this window from showing great happiness. However this is not the case, as I was merely advising applicants here from the wisdom of my knowledge and the number of applications and cases I see on a regular basis and the tricks that are likely to be employed by IRCC this fall 2020. I reiterate that IRCC are using this AIP as a means to lure applicants into paying their tuition fees for the survival of her economy. Do not begin classes until you have received the final verdict from IRCC. Please be properly guided if you've not been told before, a Visa officer can decide to start your ELIGIBILITY review afresh after receiving a complete application (biometrics enrollment details and medicals), this I have seen on numerous GCMS notes especially when a new VO picks up the file for a final review.

I'll be here to watch how things unfolds in no distant time.

As always, it will end in praise.

Please house whats the implication when your application changes from your action is required to submitted and i have not given my biometrics. This change occurred on 20th august and i applied july 13th

No implications whatsoever. The recent changes made on your profile is NORMAL and a signal that your application is presently been worked upon by an immigration officer at the Visa Office in Nairobi. At this time, you can only hope for the best outcome on your application.

@Frankrobbn1 thank you for coming through. Please what if I choose not to declare that I already have a Master's, will there be any implication? Note that my employer has given me a letter of introduction, and I think a qualification in Business Analytics as a banker will be seen by VO as upscaling my skill set.
Meanwhile are there affordable schools for Masters in Business Analytics or Financial Analytics that I can apply for now?

Thanks

Please don't conceal any information from the immigration of Canada because you will continue with same data you've given to them for your study permit and in any of your future applications with IRCC. I would advise that you should declare your already attained master's degree and begin afresh by applying for a second master's degree than a Post Baccalaureate diploma program. Your visa application success is relatively slim with a PGD on file.

By the way, have you paid any deposit to the school in order to secure your seat in the program? Why are you finding it difficult to begin a fresh application by applying for a master's program? In the case of an introduction letter from your employer, this can always be issued at any given time, it shouldn't influence your resolution to put in a weak application.

As per your choice of program, I would appreciate if you search on google for schools that may be offering those shortlisted programs.

Let me know if you have any other questions

I believe AIP means approval in principle, that means the person is tentatively approved subject to further review based on additional available information. Yes AIP is not a guarantee that the recipient will get a final approval but it surely means that the person has passed eligibility review up to that point and it is a good indication that the study permit will be approved provided no new information comes up to the contrary. However, sometimes some application are subjected to further review for some reasons. We have seen cases of people receiving medical request and then refused afterwards and there have also been cases of PPR and the application was subjected to further review but most times this is not the case.

I do not believe that the VO will just give AIP just to entice people to pay tuition fee for survival of the Canada economy

Hello everyone,
Please my friend is a medical doctor and he has 2 jobs, a full time one and a part time job, he has gotten letters of introduction from both, but he wants to know :
1. if he can present both on his application and also
2. If presenting both wouldn’t have a negative effect on his application
3. If he should also present pay-slips for both

Hello narialanders,

I'm new here, about to apply for my study permit,

I have gotten admission to study at Humber College, Ontario for a 2 year Graduate Certificate in Business Insights and Analytics (which is a new course).

My Background Information
Just graduated recently(last year) from the university of Lagos with a B.SC in Finance with CGPA of 3.64. I have been denied visiting visa twice - that i wont return to home country. My sister is a Canadian Citizen, she is married with kids and is my sponsor. I have paid my one year tuition fee. I was wondering if I should use my other sister as a co-sponsor. She is married with kids, lives in Nigeria and works for a bank. I am currently doing my NYSC.

@frankrobbn1 @justmellow @najiaforeigner @justwise
please help me
Hello. Please are you sure the program is 2 years? From the website of Humber College, I’m unable to ascertain the programs that are 2 years.
