We didn't do Romero anything. If anything , he saw more action as a second choice goal keeper than most other second choices will see in other top teams. It's one of the reasons he could easily get a club in a midtable EPL team without any hassle
Woww

Siting on the bench and watching DDG dropping disaster-class for 2 straight seasons.

Benching him for DDG in our semi final games in UEL and FA cup.

Only Ole Gunnar can take such rubbish.

You completely missed my point.

I just hope we dont treat Henderson the way we treated Romero. I think that's part of the reason DDG got too comfortable and started messing up.

DDG needs to know there is real competition for his place because the mistakes of the last 18 months are unacceptable.
Wasn't given a chance even with DDG bad form since 2018.

Hopefully, Henderson story won't be like this.

Chris Smalling is very close to returning to AS Roma. Manchester United want €20m + €5m. A deal is almost done.

Romero is not a first choice quality for a team looking to compete for titles. You can condemn DDG for his slip in form, which is warranted. Perhaps Ole still thinks that world-class quality is still somewhere in DDG, hoping he'll eventually snap out of his dip in form. Risky, but only time will tell if it was worth.I hope for all our sakes he does. Sometimes you just don't want to let go of anything world-class. Although i believe he should have let Romero start agaisnt Sevilla, but again DDG didn't commit any blunder.

A lot of young players lost their careers when Fergie retired. Jones might have turned out different.
Fergie signed Jones for £15m instead of Varane for around £6m. Varane once said he took the decision to join Madrid because Utd had already signed Jones and he felt he won't get enough playing time here. What a huge miss this was

Solskjær is an admirer of Thiago Alcântara but signing another midfielder is not considered a priority after signing Donny van de Beek. United will monitor Thiago's situation for the rest of the window but Jadon Sancho remains the primary target.

Good, monitoring is allowed now. Hopefully we go hear good news soon...

Don’t even bother. There’s a reason United didn’t loan out Henderson again, and offered him a 6yr contract.

DDG is about to get permanently replaced. The writing is on the wall.

We now have some good ballers in midfield. All capable of shooting from distance.

I hope we start taking more shots around the box. It's not by force to pass it into the net

Varane could have come to United and still turn out shit. Jones was very good coming up, injury messed him up. Plus the team and teammates you play with also help shapen a player

Jones is extremely brittle for his style of play and playing as a RB and CDM might have affected his development.

He was wronged when OGS replaced him for the Europa semifinal.

He got replaced for the FA Cup semifinal, and DDG came on to drop a complete disaster.

I think he also got dropped for the Carabao Cup semis.

DDG didn’t deserve to replace him in the cup games, given how poor his form has been. The Europa own, and our subsequent elimination from the competition was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Good question. It's just what i see.He looks like a good player, that makes some standard saves. Those saves DDG as been fumbling recently. cheesy. But i have not seen him make world-class saves week in week out.

True talk, was really sad we didn't sign back then. Varane's height would have helped in set piece situations, hope we can sign a very good CB with pace to compliment Maguire.

Home-grown price.

Considering how things have turned out, getting Varane might not have turned out well. Some players are privileged to reach certain heights in their careers because of the coaches they play under. I believe Varane is one of them.

Can you win spoon with this version of Degea?

We would have won or atleast progress to the final of both FA cup and UEL with Romero.
