You know, I was supposed to receive lots of hard currencies this month end from different websites that sell my digital products into my Payoneer account, but unfortunately, Payoneer has suspended my account few hours ago.

Yes, my international passport has expired in 2019, but I uploaded it like that when they requested for verification yesterday.

They told me to take a picture with my ID close to my face + yesterday's date on a piece of paper and upload and I did so.

After 24 hours, I woke this afternoon hoping to head to the bank to make a HUGE withdrawal, but was met with a shocking message of my pending money wiped out and my account closed down by Payoneer. I didn't receive the money, neither did the money return to the senders.

They refused to disclose why, but I'm suspecting it's because I'm a Nigerian and receiving money from different sources is automatically suspicious no matter how legit I am.

They trust me, but they don't trust the country I'm operating from.

I feel depressed. An innocent person like me is paying for the sins of my countrymen who have used fraud to ruin our reputation all in the name of "quick money."

I'm paying for a crime I didn't commit. All my money this month has been wiped out. I was only able to withdraw 200k before this happened.

It sucks being innocent and a Nigerian. No matter how innocent you are, the rest of the world will first of all judge you based on the reputation of your country.

I have sent them a message to reinstate my account, but I haven't gotten a reply yet.

Whatever the outcome is, I'll surely give God the glory.

Please, let's stop fraud — it doesn't pay in the long run.

God knows I'll leave Nigeria forever pretty soon just because of this and other things.

It sucks being in my shoe — you don't fell how I feel.

The money isn't the issue, but thinking I'm a fraud based on the country I come from is what hurts me.

I'm just depressed on behalf of my country, but on behalf of me, myself, and I, I'm still strong as usual.

I pray God intervenes in my case. Amen.

If he doesn't, I still believe every disappointment is a blessing and a lesson.

Nigeria my country. This has nothing to do with been a Nigerian. It is clearly stated in the mail that you violate their terms and condition. You mailing them should be about asking which of their terms you violate and how you are supposed to withdraw your funds. Payooner isn't cruel. Stop painting them black. Their service in Nigeria is well commendable and its much more better than PayPal that restrict Nigerians from receiving payments.
I think you are having a prob with reading and understanding cos it is stated in the mail that you will be able to withdraw your funds before permanently closing your account.
If I may ask sir, how do you write books if you are this dumb to read and don't understand

Why don't you check their terms and conditions, to ascertain which one you violated, before crying foul.

Heart-wrenching

Is there no way you can explore to get your account back and kicking?

Maybe, you shouldn't have left your funds to pile up.

Maybe, you received payment from a Payoneer blacklisted site.
Never despair, I'm dead cert sure that they gonna get things sorted out to your favour and you gonna get your funds back

So sorry man...

Sha prepare for a very long and difficult battle. Payoneer's customer service is zilch.

Don't bother emailing them, it takes weeks for them to reply. Instead, buy enough airtime and call them on phone (Number is on the contact us page).

Hope you remember your security questions and answers? You'll need them.

Don't be so quick to pass judgement.

Payoneer is beginning to target Nigerian accounts. I'm a victim myself.

Thanks to everyone above and for all the suggestions. Linking my PublishDrive to Payoneer was where the trouble started. I have reverted back to PayPal in peace. I can't come and kill myself. #Smile.

Thanks once again.

@Thazard,

I noticed whenever I reveal something here on Nairaland to help people from my Church mind, few months later, I get banned or terminated by that company.

It started with PayPal
Followed my Amazon
And finally Payoneer.

Thank God I'm back on my feet on all of them, but now, I don't reveal sh!t either paid or free.

Sorry about that, Sir.

Why use an expired passport? Its unfortunate that you blame others instead of taking responsibility for your ineptitude.

@angelfallz, I'm not 100% blaming others, I'm just letting them know the evil they have been doing has compounded and affects innocent Nigerians even at the slightest mistake.

Some years ago, I was traveling with my Asian girlfriend and at a certain border between two Asian countries, everyone got checked within 1 minute, but they detained me for more than 20 minutes.

The moment one of the female workers checked my passport and realized I was a Nigerian, she screamed, "Nigerian, Nigerian," and that was how they took me to a special room and did some digital investigation before setting me free after 20 minutes or more.

The driver, an Asian man, was tired of waiting for me and almost left, but my girl refused. I was the only black person the bus.

I got inside that vehicle and was angry throughout the journey. I even managed to take a picture inside the bus just to console myself for being a Nigerian. I was so embarrassed for a crime I didn't commit and that is "Nigeria."

Nigerians who don't travel out to Asia, Europe, America, Australia, etc. don't know how far the image of the country has been ruined.

They stay in Naija feeling funky as they think crime is the way forward. They use lines like, "Any way is a way."

I no longer tell people about my Nationality in Europe. Crime has ruined the Country image.
