I learnt text animations. I'm open to self development and I currently want to learn cybersecurity from Coursera but no funds. I'm willing to learn new things.

If you spent 17 years in a private establishment, you're not waxing stronger, I must be honest with you. If you you're in government's, then you're safe.

This is post is targeted at graduates of 1-10 years.

Few days ago, a graduate of 10 years threatened to burn his certificate, this got me thinking.. Is it that bad? A graduate of 10 years cannot map out a career path or business plan to follow tentatively. This thoughts actually formulated these questions..

Are you doing what you envisaged as an undergraduate, or are you utilizing your survival instinct's.
If you affirm the formal..
What is it?
What are your challenges?
Is it related to course of study?

And if the later is affirmed..
What are those things you do to survive?
What are your challenges?

Your experience will help mold undergraduates and graduates alike and in turn, deter them from towing that shameful path like burning of certificate e.t.c

I have interest in project management. Have done some couple of little projects, how do I keep improving myself before the big break comes?
I'm in Abuja and don't mind hooking up or working together with someone on any project.
Thanks

Very good path. I will advice you learn project planning first. Learn a planning software (primavera p6 and Microsoft project) it will give you a strong foundation in project management. Project planners make better project managers from experience.
You can then move further to do project management courses.

And have you started making money or still learning ??

A feeling were an individual doubts their talents or abilities, and fear they will be exposed as a fraud or not good enough.

Using my survival instinct bro. This country's unemployment situation is so bad, it is really appalling. If you can imagine a Chemical Engineering graduate that worked as a Credit officer and now as a teacher, you can see how this country kills dreams and is tough and harsh for a man to survive. It is even so bad that yahoo boys are the kings now among the men in this country outside of those in the health field, IT field and academia field. My 2 cents.

For programming language I would say it depends. If you are between 13 to 18 and want to get into programming. I would advice you to learn C and C++.

If you are above 18, JavaScript and PHP. I believe those above 18 would be looking to get into the labour market and those two languages have the most jobs out there. Cost implication. Well just data. You are gonna spend on data a lot and then you need a lot of time at least 4 to 5 hours a day.

+1 bro. My brother is a web developer and doing very well in his field. I also wanted to learn web development but found I unfortunately do not have an aptitude for coding or maybe the teacher was bad I don't even know.

Thanks bro for your prompt response where did you learn the skill?, I know of udemy and coursera I don't know whether those two are advisible when you put into consideration there financial requirements.

If you are in Ibadan, you can learn with Idea Konsult, their website design program is top notch. My brother learnt there. In Lagos, HIIT or the other one which I can't remember now. If you pick up things fast, you can learn for free on Coursera and especially Udemy. The latter is very very good.

Lol... Who told u medicine is saturated? Do u think it's easy to gain admission in to medical school? If it was saturated, do u think Britain , US will still be giving them visa...

Even the programming that u think it's easy... Try and venture into it. Only data structures will make u change ur mind if u have a get rich quick mentality.. Besides the world is leaning towards IT in the coming years so there's no way it can get saturated... There are so many sectors in it sef

I did poultry business that's egg production for the first year after my nysc from the money I saved during my service year, then most of my friends do insult me that I smell like fowl shit.then I do sale eggs, mine wasn't enough for customer's so I do buy from other farm's in village's to supplement mine,I did this for like a year and some months, when my birds stopped giving me maximum amount of eggs u started looking for a buyer as God may have it,as I was passing by I met a man (Ugo from okija) carrying a truck load of old layers(fowl)when I stopped him to enquire weda he deals on birds,he affirmed he does so I told him I have birds to sale and at good rate,he told me that he just brought birds from ibadan that he can't buy more for the week,I insisted that I can sale mine myself if given the opportunity (the birds were consuming more feeds without laying egg)as God may have it he accepted but I will give him commission.
I finished the sales of the 431 birds within two hours and gave him his commission for using some part of his space.
the upper week he wanted to go to ibadan to get fowl at fabis farm, that week his conductor was sick and he needed someone to go with him,I obliged to follow but that I need to buy mine too, that's how I started the business.
December the next year a man that I do buy feeds from (emmason)called me to intimate me that there's a farm he do supply feeds on credit that owed him(capuchin farm's)a roman Catholic farm,he asked weda I can help him sale their birds during that festive period that they're looking for who to buy in bulk for him to recoup his money.on dec 21 they gave me on credit 500 birds at the flat rate of #1000 each I sold 1500 because it was festive period, before 1 pm I went back for more 1000 birds I did sale also for 1500each(then I the market I said to myself na so person dey get money)the next day I took 2500 birds did the same.
my people that's how I became a millionaire at my second years of leaving nysc,I don tire to type
I now own a school with population of 680 pupils and do other business also.

After graduation,I went into private school teaching. It was the toughest time of my life. I can't tell all that I passed through but it was hell. They would give me a load of subjects to teach. Out of the 9 periods in a day, I taught 8. At the end of the months, they would owe me on top kwa. To cut the story short,God helped me through my uncle and I got a lecturing job in one of the federal institutions in this country. I spent 3 years in the labour market.

Don't forget to show kindness and love to your students and teach them the truth that awaits them after leaving the citadel.
