Hello Silvamania,

If you have evidence for the co-op, then answer YES correctly to the question when filling your online questionnaire. If the evidence isn't available, you can request it from yoir school. If this isn't possible, you can fill NO in the questionnaire and can always apply for that prior before its commencemnt within Canada.

BTW did your DLI request for a fee (tuition) deposit?

Thanks at Justmellow

They only require us to pay a confirmation fee of $1,000 which will be deducted from the tuition fee of (29,500)

Also am self sponsored , if I have a fee that covers tuition fee (28,500) + Living expenses (10,000) + other expenses (3,000) = 41,500CAD in my savings account . Am I good to go ??

Also the school gave me two documents . One is the certificate of acceptance document showing that have been accepted into the program and the other shows all information about the program including fee and a column ticked as 8 weeks internship as part of program requirements. Can I use the last one for the co- opt ??

Thanks

(1) What you should put as funds available for your stay should be either equal or greater than the sum of tuition + room and board + other

Attaching landed properties is showing the visa officer that your sponsor is financially capable to take care of you without issues, your education in Canada will not be a problem to them, to serve as home ties and so forth.

If you have landed properties worth 100M, all you need to include as funds available for your stay is a reasonable amount that you think is more than sufficient to take care of your studies for 1 year.

for example, if your 1 year tuition is $10,000, room and board $10,000 and other lets say $3,000, Total = 23,000

funds available for stay should not be less than $23,000. In your case, because you have more than $23,000 available, you can write $30,000, that's absolutely fine. That means you have added extra $7,000 for unforeseen circumstances

(2) To the best of my knowledge, IRCC requests for only 1 year.

Just send the funds to her naira account and make sure she highlights that the funds was sent by her sponsor.

Hello Silvamania,

You are more than okay. All that should be done is to demonstrate that there is an easily accessible fund for the subsequent year if the program is for 2yrs.

For self-sponsored applicants, home ties and funds is mostly the common hurdle. Another consideration if you're married, show evidence for the family upkeep and the likes.

Also do well that after demonstrating the availability of the 1yr study cost, there should still be some extra funds left maybe up to 5k or less.

Since co-op was evidently ticked in your offer letter, it should serve as the required proof.

All the best

My One Cent advise ,

Use your parents as Sole sponsor,

Add their letter of Consent to sponsor and remain Resolute in the sponsorship

It actually reduces the explanation you have to make ...

OR..................

Have the FUNDS sent completely to you account, with reference on SOP , That the VO should have a look at the Origin of the FUNDS, am sure if the names Tally, ....Like FRANK will say, "IT WILL END IN PRAISE"

Nawa o someone just replied you simple send it to her naira account and she should indicate it that the money was sent to her by the sponsor In her SOP
The sponsor should also indicate in his or her letter of sponsorship

Hi @Godsblessings ,

I will let the gurus respond on the best way here on other questions but will speak to your question on bank account opening with Scotia or any other Canadian banks from Nigeria (being a Nigerian citizen). Scotia only does this for Indian, Chinese students and a few other nationalities not Nigerian. It was impossible when I tried this a few months ago using several avenues. I was ready to open a target account with dedicated monthly deposit from here. I tried using my sibling who is a PR to facilitate it. My sister inlaw works with RBC and still it wasn't possible. Although you may be able to create a profile but that would be all that is possible (if at all). Even when you get a study permit you can't finalize it until you land and walk into the bank. So, please be careful if anyone tells you otherwise on other platforms; you may be playing with scammers.

Modified: Akannitommy said it can't be done after series of personal attempt. So the best is to stick with the second option or you can as well contact them directly for reassurance.

Hello Godsblessings,

Is she a minor? Its very possible to set up a student account with Scotia bank like the Indians which is a requirement for them to open and deposit the 10k CAD in order to obtain a GIC for their application. I think its 10,200 CAD plus commission inclusive. There is a process for it and if it can be set up, its surely a very strong proof of funds.

On the other note, the funds can be transferred to her account with a letter explaining the purpose of the funds. Note that its more easier to prove the authenticity of the origin and purpose of the funds if it comes directly from the sponsor's account, esp if its a third party sponsorship. If its actually a third party sponsorship, there should be an attempt to pay part of her tuition fees and a company account shouldn't be used.

All the best

Someone Actually told this person to APPLY again that they will get it....

Applying with this same whole situation abi with another strategy?

There are no concerns here as someone advised you to tackle them and reapply!

Read the BOLDED part more than 3 times over and OVER again... That VO isn't even talking to you, sending a message to the person that will review your next application.

It will End in Praise!

UPDATE:.... I love that part where the VO said Mother's Account noted,.... I kind of smiled.

Your entire work was done in Your mother's Statement of account to make up for the others that looked frail.....

The applicant’s rational for studies given past and current education and employment has failed to satisfy me that the expense doesn’t justify the potential for improved career possibilities in applicant country of citizenship or current residence to present an incentive to leave Canada. Overall weak family and economic ties to of citizenship and current residence to provide incentive to leave at the end of any authorized stay.

Greetings bro,
I studied computer science and no job yet as I just finish school and was suppose to go for my NYSC service buh this Corona iss was causing delay so I opted to skip service.
I think the VO is mistakening the graduate certificate for college certificate, he/she made a remark that I’m going to study a college certificate.
Yes I did explain how good the course is and how people are getting involved with it.

Home ties : I used the Cybersecurity job prospect in Nigeria.
I have a landed property buh I didn’t include any.

Cyber security and computer science are really related.

I think main problem is employment situation because of your age. In your next application, you need to clearly state your career plan and how cyber security is crucial to it.

Also state clearly that you just completed bachelor degree and the need to go for the pgc immediately before taking up employment.

All the best
