Forget the topic am sure you got the idea.

There is this whatsapp TV that I have been following for a Long time and the guy always advertise MBA Investment Trading and How I can get 100% of my investment in 48hours, After various testimonies he kept displaying I decided to give it a try.

Firstly I messaged him for details and he told me all the bla bla bla of How it works. I was only interested in the part Where I will get my money doubled.

Fast forward to After I sent him the first 5k he said that one was for registration that now I should invest, at that point I began to suspect Fowl play but my 5k was already inside let me just see it through, so I added the 10k.

Next day he was complaining that it refuse to invest and that the platform for 10k investment was giving issues that if I have 5k I should add so that he can add up and invest 15k and I will get back 40k, I told him that was all I had.

The story is getting to Long. Long story short he kept giving one story or the other then it was clear to me that I have been scam. I was so ashamed that I did not tell anyone.

Then I mailed my bank about the matter and asked them if there is any resolution. They replied that I should take a screenshot of the conversation Which I did.

It's a month Plus now I have even forgotten about the issue when the Scammer messaged me pleading that he will refund me the 15k because he got a letter from his bank threatening to freeze is account if he does not resolve issues with me. I was finally able to get my money back. I have messaged my bank about the refund and I hope they relay the message on time to his bank.
Next time you might not be lucky. Going forward, be street wise

Hahaha! This sounds weird, but you have a point.

Imagine if it was false allegation, with photoshopped screenshots as proof, that is how they would have frozen the innocent guy account for nothing.

I am sure GTB and Firstbank wouldnt do such, until you bring police report and court order.

They didn't freeze the account immediately. A warning was sent. If the allegation was false he will have gone to clear himself at the bank

We need to stop putting ourselves in situations where we have to email banks to get our money back. Only one in a thousand fraud victims get lucky. Our quest for easy money often put us in this mess. There's no easy money anywhere. Let's stop falling for these investment scams, forex scams, cryptocurrency mining or doubling scams etc. The moment you join a strange group on Whatsapp or telegram, you have out yourself at risk. Scams are on the rise because we enable the perpetrators. We need to be less trusting and more suspicious.

Nice one.

Fraudstars are seriously on rampage. Most especially these Whatsapp TVs that are always advertising investments here and there. Most of them are G-boys lowkey, you will see them advertising Forsage, Supersage, LPV, Cash app, Gift cards and other money doubling schemes. If you go looseguard lasan, your money don go be that.

Hi, please do confirm the latest one is Fortron, just search it on Nairaland. I joined it to know the truth behind it, it seems like it is a glorified pyramid scheme but, most of the users here do not post that part. They keep using terms like invest, reinvest, surcharge, contract and some words that sounds business-ish to confuse people to fall for it. I am still in the group trying to dig more information, I'll keep you updated.

no, you didn't get the whole message.

The accused wasn't blocked immediately, rather he was sent a mail to pay back or risk his account from being freezed. It was when the accused got the mail he then contacted the guy for refund.

For those of you gingering to go and open Zenith account because of this 1/10 success rate in refund, just don't waste your time. Try as much as possible to stay away from double ROI scams and ponzi schemes. Zenith was able to force a refund in this case because the scammer in this case is still a JJC in the scam business. The chronic scammers in this type of business steal dead peoples account details to perpetrate this kind of scam, some even hack into idle bank accounts to do so too. So joining Zenith cannot help you when you fall into an advanced scammers trap, the only solution is to prevent it from happening.

Spillovers: means the commission gotten from other people's referrals. This other people are the ones they'll fix you with. E.g a group of 5 people, if 1 of the 5 got a referral the remaining 4 will get a little fragment of the referrals.

Overflows: means the referrals commission gotten from the ones you refers (you -> referred person -> his referred person )

Referrals: means direct referrals.

Tron volatility: if Tron rise in value, your amount rise too. That is the only thing that makes sense, it's just like saving 1 dollar at N300 per dollar, should dollar rise to N400 per dollar you'll get an extra N100 when converted dollar to naira.

However, they claim that you can't refer more than 2, one would have to purchase more referral space (know as upgrading). Please where is the sense in that.

They always recommend referrals. They use Tron: been a registered cryptocurrency to make it sound legit. Instead of saying pay N1800, they use term as register with 100 Tron.

The masterminds have many ways to earn from New comers
1. Registration fee
2. Personal referrals
3. Victims referrals
4. Victims upgrading
5. More upgrading.
