Update your phone if there's any pending update. If you are on the latest version, download the rom and flash manually.

Las las na how you use your device go determine how well your device serves you. I have been using my Redmi 8 since December and not once have i had any of the issues some users are complaining of here. Again i will advice not to use your device while charging it or charging it overnight (although have been made to understand it has no effect on battery) but it's still better not to charge overnight. Don't expect your Redmi 8 to give you Samsung Galaxy 20 ultra performance (in other words don't overwork your device by playing heavy demanding games and running app that are demanding too). Lastly always update your device as soon as update pops up, try downloading the full Rom and update manually and hard restart your device by pressing power button for like 15 sec till phone vibrate.

MediaTek has been consistently improved recently, although in gaming with the G series chipset, so the G80 has proven to be a good midrange processor no problem at all with the redmi 9 plus xiaomi upgrades their phones regularly which means getting up to date android upgrades

I don't know how efficient the new PMG email handler/Assistant is but if it's the same one with former PMG Bisi, you'll get a response within 2 workdays and probably a call from the affected PO within the week.
