This is going to be a long piece. I have this thing running in my mind and I need you to help me with mature advice. I have been a dumb ass broke niggar since I left UNIBEN 7 years ago. All attempt to get a good and loyal girlfriend had been abortive owing to my joblessness. Even the few ladies I dated or the few that agreed to date me, na so so bad luck I dey jam everywhere. Disappointments here and there. At times I would cry and curse the day I was born. Three years ago, I was depressed and suicidal, thank God for my mum who caught me in the kitchen when I was about leaving the world by the way of Snipper.

Everything was the same for me until August last year when I met this lady that changed my whole story. I met her on one of the escort/hookup sites that I saw here on Nairaland. She caught my attention and I decided to hook up with her with the little money I managed to save as Konji no gree make I sleep. So, I decided to offload somehow since I am not a fan of masturbation.

I don’t believe in superstition or spiritual influence but my experience with this lady changed my belief. Now, I don’t even know what to believe anymore. The first day that I bleeped with this lady, one of my uncles in Australia who I have been begging for money to start a business for several years called me and told me he has decided to make me manage one of his businesses here in Nigeria. I was very surprised. Since that day, my life has not remained the same again. I have been managing my uncle’s business so well and it is growing bigger by the day, he is well impressed. Glory be to God and thanks to my girl who had been by my side all this while, giving me advice. Mind you, she is also a UNILAG Economics graduate.

Now here is my main concern. I proposed to the same girl last week and she gladly accepted my proposal. So, we intend to get married in December before moving into our new home. Unfortunately for me, my uncle saw my recent posts on Instagram and Facebook and called me to stop any arrangement to marry the lady. He said she is a cheap prostitute and that is all he would tell me about her and he is serious with it. I knew her background but I don’t know how to convince my uncle that she is now a changed girl. So, I had to confront my girl and ask her if she has ever had anything to do with him. I showed her his picture. At first, she denied ever meeting him but after much persuasion she opened up.

She told me she met him as a client who called from the same escort site. She said he flew in from Australia last year, a week before Easter celebration and he hooked up with her for a day. After a day service, he requested that she should stay for the weekend and increase the pay. So, she complied. After the weekend, he gave her the offer of being his second wife. He promised to come and see her parents before going back to Australia blab bla bla…she later told him that she does not like the idea of being a second wife because she was raised from a polygamous family. So, he felt really bad. She said she stopped picking his calls and later blocked all means he could use to contact her. After telling me all these, she said she doesn’t want any problem with my family so she would consider it as her fate. She dropped the ring I gave her and asked me to move on because she would. I have been trying to reach her since Thursday but she kept rejecting my calls and not replying my messages. As at yesterday I tried checking the site I met her and saw that she has updated her profile there. Mind you, she had deleted her account when we started getting serious. This makes me feel so bad. I am confused. I can’t even think through anymore.

Now that I know the reason why my uncle doesn’t want me to marry this lady and my uncle is coming to Nigeria in December to visit his family and entrust another business in my hand, but he is still insisting that I should never think of marrying my girl, what would you advise me to do? Please, I need your mature advice. It is not necessary that you respond if you don’t have anything reasonable to say. Thanks for your time.

You think so? I doubt if it is coincidental. There are many things I couldn't say in my writing. 3 or 4 incidences showed to me that it was not just by accident. Anyways, thank you.
