Hello house, I'm new here and I need advise from all the experts in the house. I submitted an SP application on August 28th, completed biometrics of September 2nd and got a final decision today, a refusal on the basis that they're not convinced that I will leave Canada after my studies.

An agent I spoke to said everything about my application was accurate but the fact that I said my 2year old daughter will come with me. This is funny cos my husband remains in Nigeria and even wrote a letter of sponsorship as he is the major sponsor for the trip. Sufficient funds were provided too for both my daughter and myself.
I also included that she'll be registered in a Daycare upon arrival in Canada.

The agent has advised that I reapply but state that my daughter won't come with me. She is a US citizen who can actually travel with me without a visa so i was only being honest in my application by stating that she'll be coming with me. I am concerned that even if i say she will no longer come with me, will that be believable since she actually has a document with which she can conveniently travel.

Please advise and lastly, i will like to get the IRCC's email address. Thank you all.

Use this COVID time to do ur NYSC while you strategize properly on how to make a huge MSC application and Visa Approval.

Please don't think you applied for the wrong visa, or something was terribly wrong with your study permit (SP) application because it was denied within a couple of days after applying.

People on this thread have gotten approval in 2 days. The time between the eligibility review email and an approval email for my SP extension was 35 minutes. It could take that little time, but most time it takes longer. When you look closely at GCMS notes, you will know it really doesn't take time to review applications.

I dare say that getting the Canada SP is very easy when you plan adequately. You don't need an agent, all you just need is a good plan. You will know what all an agent want is your money. PLAN, PLAN, and PLAN!!!

Recent family picture with sponsor family.

Applicant documents:
Acceptance letter from school in Canada, birth certificate,Waec result, testimonial, transcript, data page, certificate of participation in a non governmental seminar(related to her course), letter of reference of enrollment in a fashion designer as apprentice (high school gap), family pictures with parents and sponsor, . Note 10,000cad will be deposited into her naira account by sponsor soon before we apply. Please which other documents do we need to add. Your advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks

Then I used a sponsor that had 10m naira in his account, but now changed to a sponsor that has 37m, affidavit of support, sponsorship letter, statement of purpose, letter of explanation, added with my own account statement (with ballance of 119k) with my registered business name and my inherited landed property documents.

Will the change of sponsor have any effect on my new application

Lol nothing do you o jare. No vex . So many of us are on edge as it is, while I guess some with AIP are already busy with online class.

Now to your enquiry;

The documents looks good but u need to conscientiously ask yourself;

1. What documents can u include to prove personal asset or home ties that will satisfy the VO that u will return?

2. Is your chosen program of study related to your educational/career background ?

3. Is your Statement of Purpose articulate and convincing enough?

After satisfying all the questions detailed above ,leave the rest to baba GOd “the ultimate VO.
He will perfect it ijmn.

I am self sponsored , going for a one year program and also my mum’s Official documents bears all former surname, so am trying to avoid any issues ?

What are the implications of not attaching such documents

Having those documents just confirms that you truly have a bond with ur family which I'm guessing you've presented as a home tie.. My parents have a different surname from my siblings and I but it doesn't matter cos our birth certificates show their names as our parents

just wait for ircc to put out relevant information. Postulating what will happen will only give you anxiety.

According to the documents listed above, the applicant appears to have weak financial strength, weak economic ties to their country, unproven job prospects.

If you may, what is the age of the applicant, program going for, applicant employment history.

You have strengthen the sponsor details and forgot to add weight to the principal applicant. And to be unambiguously honest, brother in law is not too strong as a sponsor. However, depending on the age, employment status, years of experience... Of the applicant, maybe the said sponsor may fly, of course, you will show whether the tuition has been paid from the sponsor, or it has been sent to the applicant, plus the living tuition.

And if the course is more than a year, there will be proven and certified blueprint to pay subsequent years.

thanks for your valuable response, the applicant is a young girl just finished her SSCE in 2019 just 20yrs as a result,no employment docs except letter of enrollment as a fashion trainee , only country tie is parents and sponsor. Please what other doc's do we add to increase her chances . Thanks, may God crown our efforts

my little advice is that you should get affidavit of confirmation/change of name to the name on your passport and attached all documents that U want to add.....

Pls order for your gcms note first before reapplying. The reason for the denial might not necessarily be about your child but might be for something else which is why I said order for your gcms note.

In as much as the body dy hot to apply. I will advise you to do your nysc and gain experience preferably in a job related to your field before thinking of applying for studies abroad.
