Hello FreshBoss007

Your profile is quite interesting. Is there no way to restate your freelance into self employment? then for your IELTS, when did you sit for the test? it would have been lovely to remark the writing to be able to claim the entire 20points!

By freelance, I worked with other persons within that time frame but if self employment would increase my chances, then better

Asking for a remark seems dicey, cause it could reduce my scores since I assume they would be more strict but I'm 29 years at the moment, so I assume age would supplement that deficit

Okay then. But to correct you, if you ask for a remark, your scores either remains unchanged or increases (if it changes) and you even get a refund if your score changes. Also, they only focus on the aspect you request for a remark.

Our Nigerian University system has really done a lot of damage to our rights and mindset! In this process, one thing I developed is - asking a lot of questions [even from my assessing body on their preference(s)], so that I don't keep assuming.

that being said, all the best in your pursuit.

Like @toayojj advised, go for a remark if your result is still recent. Score do not reduce, it's either it increases or remain unchanged. Reduction will mean IELTS did a shoddy job in the first place which they won't make mistake to admit.

Your best option is assessing as Architectural draftsperson.
If you are able to claim self employed for those 5 years, then good on you mate.

I have updated the front page information to include points calculation for the new Visa 491.

Hi Bellong. Must commend the awesome work you have been doing here.

Has anyone here done assessment with Vetassess as a Management Consultant? I’m currently putting paperwork together for assessment but would love to chat with someone who has done this before. I have been following the chats but can’t find any info on Management Consultants. Would be glad to share ideas with anyone, please.

I have not seen any except for few Indians. If you have put together your documents with a convincing reference letter showing job descriptions of a MC, then you should be fine.
What's your educational qualifications?

Thank you for responding.
I have a Master of Business Administration in Oil and Gas Management and I’ve done a bit of consulting in this area. I’m just curious as to why MC has a high occupation ceiling each year yet less than 10 percent ITA is issued. Could it be that Vetassess is tough with their scrutiny or we don’t have a lot of Management Consultants interested in applying? In any case I’ll give it a shot soon.
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by ajayidebo: 7:21am On Sep 13, 2020
Vetassess scrutiny is across board for all occupations. Most likely not a lot of applicants.

Okay. Your year of graduation will also determine the number of years that will be approved by Vetassess.
Occupation ceiling also applies to 189 only which has been scarce. Most may have gone for 190 or 489 or the new 491.
Also Vetassess is fussy when it comes to job descriptions.
Good luck

Visit TRA website to get the assessment process for your occupation. Either of the two occupations will fit in. Your employment documents needs to align to any of the occupations you select.
You have a good profile already
Age 25
Exp 10
Edu 15
Eng 10
Spouse: 5
Total: 65
65 without state nomination points is still good.

You can also still make that 20 points in English; you are very close
Do you have payslips for the entire years?
Do you have pension or tax statement?

You only stated your spouse's years of experience and not the experience.

Thank you very much for the time taken to analyse my profile.
We do not intend to do assessment for my spouse.
Yes I have all documents required for assessment. I have pension, tax, payslips and bank statements for all the employment for the 6yrs 6months.
I checked the TRA website. Says 1k Aud. When I calculated using todays rate it was around N272k. I am gathering the money and other documents. Thanks

Hello,

For us to help further, you may need to be specific. Banking is more of an industry than an occupation..what was your specific role in those banks?
Also you did not state the awarding universities for yourself and spouse as well as your spouse's experience
