The door or gate of heaven is a portal between heaven and earth, same thing with the gate of hell.
Heaven, earth and hell are all different realities, a portal is a door way or gate for either entering or living those realms.
There is also the windows of heaven, which is describe as also a portal where God's blessing comes down to earth and natural phenomenon caused.
The wings of angels represent their power to move, sometimes the bible describe angels to move like lightning or as winds.

Heaven is not said to have walls, only the new Jerusalem in the book of revelation.
The walls of the new Jerusalem is for aesthetic demarcation of the capital city from the rest of the new earth, perhaps there may be other cities, inother words the walls of the new Jerusalem gives the city a distinct beauty and look from the rest of the earth, everything in the new heaven and new earth has their beauty but including the new Jerusalem and one of its remarkable beauty is the wall which is like an extremely beautiful rainbow.

Again, before the story of Jesus was ever pinned down, there has been hundreds of other gods and sons of Gods with a virgin birth very similar to the story of Jesus.

Some of them include Ra, Horus, Jason, Heracles and others. Do you also Think their Religious story should be taken literally?
