Looool

I had already thrown out my own frustrations too
I hate to have to express such dissatisfaction esp for businesses trying to survive but this one got to me.

No, I didn't book. The info the first person gave, got me misled and I opted for Emirates sad Praying things work out smoothly

Capitalbase:

Did U book for it?
Well,...I already booked through Aeroland for 269k. No wahala. Wakanow na yeye company I no go like get dealings with a confused organization again. I called 5 different agents and each had a different thing to say. If I ask about the discount, some would say "Below 30 years" some would say it might not be more than 20% and will still be more expensive than Qatar airways and all that. I got confused but settled for the other people. Unto the next thing jareeeh.
Make Dem carry their village people fly with the discount as Dem no wan give us

Thanks for looking out bro.

Best Regards

Still same Emirates
Wakanow said only yesterday's flights are affected.

Still awaiting further clarification though

Go to Birmingham instead, its a shorter travel time to Cardiff. You can book a coach from Birmingham airport to Cardiff, about 2 hours.

Gbp2020:
Who's going to university of south Wales
Please how do you booked your flight?
I called wakanow but they said their is no direct flight to Cardiff, I was told I have to get to London Heathrow and find my way board a train going to Cardiff..please oo

To those that has already traveled.did they ask further questions at the port of entry upon arrival at UK?

It is necessarily compulsory to have your BTA/PTA while traveling?BTA means basic travel allowance or PERSONAL TRAVEL ALLOWANCE.

Hi guys, I don't know whether this question has been asked before but I'll like to know if it's possible because what I saw online isn't clear to me.

Please, is it allowed to work as a freelancer/remote/online job platforms in UK. I'm currently working on two online platforms here in Nigeria but there are some platforms that reject Nigeria/find it difficult to get jobs because of being in Nigeria. So, I guess when someone reaches UK, it will be very easy to create account on those platforms and earn cool cash. For me, I'll prefer to work online because I can earn X3 or more than doing student jobs in UK. We Nigerians have been rejected on different occasions and it's all because of our location such as Amazon affiliate, stripe, upwork (currently you can't create an account if your location is Nigeria) etc. Please, if we're not allowed to work online, when will we be allowed? After study or during holiday? If we do, how would they know? Does that mean they track everything we do online.

PS: I'm not trying to bypass any system that's why I'm asking.

Below is also the screenshot of the problem we Nigerians are facing.

You'll be asked few questions. Nothing serious. It will be around your purpose of entering the UK. Have your passport, BRP letter, finance document and TB test certificate. You might not need to show all the documents I mentioned but that's dependent on the person that attends to you.

No need for PTA / BTA. Having some money on your card or physically will help you get around and pay for things easily though.

No. Freelance work counts as self-employment and this isn't allowed under the T4 rules.

You can but if your bank has a limit or restrictions, then those limits or restrictions will apply.

This option in the past used to be good..but not now..
there are too many bank restriction because of forex limitations..
your card may not work there or the money you can use will be too small..
So I would advise you do those online money banking options that @mimilyrics and others have advised for new comers to UK..
it would allow you use money from your najia account in the UK before you open a UK account

My school gave like 3 online banking options ..maybe you can inquire from your school as well..

London is closer to Cardiff than Birmingham, this is a route I travel frequently.

Hello,

Has anyone who did a phone interview last week heard back from UKVI and what date was your interview?

Mine was on the 17th. School enrollment deadline is the 2nd October. Eight working days left. I’m trying to be optimistic and hope a decision is made this week at the most.

Seems pretty tight. I’m not happy it’s taking so long. Las las it will transfer to VAC someday.

I think something is wrong somewhere for Coventry... I have not seen anybody they issue CAS for, the first bank statement I gave them expired, they message me to present another one , do we even have anybody that has gotten CAS in Coventry ? They’re opinion that we should do our enrollment online , Note to all applicant , if you do online enrollment you will not be able to claim your fund again, have been seeing there series of email to sign up for enrollment but I have let them know that without CAS no enrollment so we could ask for refund , hoping they will get back , do we have anybody that has collected CAS in Coventry ? Pls help

Got my CAS yesterday. Submitted Statement 25th Aug. Their process is "it is well". I know another person that got CAS after so much issues. So much processes.

You open your account from your phone and have your debit card delivered to your address. You can use your BRP, passport or Driver's Licence (DL) when opening. Payment into the account will be via bank transfers or the post office since they don't have brick and mortar outlets. Debit cards arrive in 2-5 working days.
