Germany, South Korea, Japan, New Zealand, Netherlands, Canada etc. Those came to my head easily.

There's nothing in South Korea and Japan except ugly people and terrible food.

The other places can offer you a good education, good job opportunities, and international marketability.

I was having a conversation with a friend recently and he was thinking of leaving this country to a better country to work, earn massively and change his life and the life of his family members. I told him I'll ask my nairaland family and get back to him. Which country is okay?

Ps: He's newly married and he has no kids.

The days of running to oyibo land to go and hustle is coming to an end. Many white people don't want Africans in their country anymore. They did not build up their societies for Africans to come and enjoy. Many countries around the world are currently in a recession. They want any remnant jobs to go to their citizens and not to some foreigners from third world countries sadly.

By the way, why did your friend bother to get married if he had plans to migrate? Did he not get the memo that it is easier to migrate as a young single person as suppose to being married? Does your friend know that it can take years, even decades to get permanent residency if at all his application does get approved? Is your friend aware that many western nations are now enacting anti-immigration policies? Is your friend aware of the rise of white supremacy and right wing conservative ideologies across the western world?

Tell your friend that if the chinese, lebanese and Indians can hustle in Nigeria and in other parts of Africa and make it, why can't he?

Even in these times, there's still plenty of opportunities for people not limited by borders.

Immigration policy may be changing dramatically all over the world, but it's not to stop immigration or because people don't want immigrants. It's because people are tired of outsourcing, on their own soil, to unskilled Indian slaves. Those people are being turned around, which is long overdue. They're also getting rid of people who will sit on public assistance, like Mexicans, Filipinos, and Arabs.

Africans have never been a part of that because black people want the same treatment and pay as locals. Africans also come with real degrees, job skills, and a hustler mentality.

Also, you have to remember that different areas will always have real shortages that locals won't satisfy for legit reasons. For example, a lot of people aren't willing to drive trucks, even though it pays well and offers job security. Many people aren't willing to be nurses, or work in healthcare in general. And every day, someone is retiring, switching careers, or etc. as the market demand grows. No one will chase anyone away from these jobs or take issue with immigrants doing them. If anything, it's appreciated.

Don't let anyone discourage you. Many people spouting negativity are jealous of what you can achieve, or are scared of doing it and your lack of fear bothers them for whatever reason.

People who have fled abroad always lecturing us about nationbuilding. Why didn’t you stay back to build the country? Don't mind dasparrow her negativity has become too much. In as much as there's a lot of anti immigration sentiments flying all over the west. There's still a dire demand for skilled workers. Most western countries have very clear paths to immigration but people prefer to do things anyhow and skip the system.

Most conservatives are not racists so get your facts right. It's actually the left that is associated with these things + their victim mentality.

And from your phone, I can see you're not even in Nigeria, so why are you discouraging the guy from leaving?

Is it in Nigeria that there's no recession and hardships?

If the Indians/Chinese/Lebanese can make it in Nigeria, why don't you come back and make your own too?

All these bad belle people sef.

He/she uses a network called Digicell (you can see it on the top left corner) and Digicell operates in central America so there's a 98% chance that the person lives in the USA or a country in central America.

I just wonder why people behave like this when they're out of Nigeria. The funny thing is they will never come back and use the the same advice they're giving. angry

So why didn't you remain in Nigeria to hustle like the Chinese or Lebanese but fled to Central America

Digicell operates across Caribbean and Oceania countries. She fled Nigeria where she wants someone to stay put because Chinese and Lebanese are making money. Why did she not stay back?

Nonsense and ingredients!

I keep warning young Nigerians esp those at home to stay away from woke people abroad. The way I see it, they don't want you to compete with them. You can read what they write but conduct your own research deeply and process everything. This set of people complain how bad the countries they are in but blatantly refuse to relocate to Nigeria. If you must listen to folks who had it rough overseas, listen to those who came back to Nigeria rather than those who continue to stick around. These hypocrites don't have your wishes at heart.

The thing just dey vex me here and him/her (I'm sure her) has been spreading this around the travel section. angry

And from what I can see via post history, the woman (possibly) is a leftist and one of those "woke" people.

The mumu has forgotten the main reason why she left Nigeria in the first place to start taking up nonsense beliefs from crazy white folks and SJWs and she thinks it will work here.

The most annoying is her always abusing Nigerian men and calling them rapists and criminals. As if men from other nations are all saints.

Probably an SJW and feminist.

These are very crazy set of women and it happens when they become too comfortable and start looking for nonexistent problems to solve all in the name of fighting for women equality.

No one should ever take advice from a person if this sort.

Below is one of her post on this forum where she called Nigeria "a place filled with hostile and frustrated people", and now she's advising people not to leave a place like that?

The grass is always greener on the other side. Nigeria is the one place where you can hustle and make it if you really have the hustling spirit. Our laws are so loose and you can get away with so much more. Plus you don't have to deal with any form of racism in the process because you are in your own country. Don't let anyone deceive you, Nigeria is the best place to hustle and make it.
stay for your Nigeria and stop disturbing others!
