Translation: Pressure mounts on Tinubu to let north retain the presidency after PMB:

Look at Yoruba that call themselves Sophisticated Tribe now trying to dump zoning of the office of the presidency, because it’s turn of the SE.
Whither the Sophisticationhuhhuh??

I have said it from beginning they are illiterate second worst city in the world to live in Lagos and they still want to vote for their own

I like Osinbajo as a person. I am convinced he has integrity and he has the kind of intellect we have so often lacked at the seat of the Presidency.

But I am not convinced he is politically sound and diverse enough to manage the various issues and interests in this country. However having said that, perhaps that is exactly what we need. Someone who is not woven into the corrupt political fabric of Nigeria.

They will be quick to paint Buhari a failure but exonerate Osibanjo from this terrible adminstration as if Osibanjo has stood against any Buharis policy. Osibanjo is the sane thing as Buhari... failure
if you were in Oshibajo's shoe, what wilk you have done differently??

You have refused to learn: the essence of politics is welfare of the people.
Your own essence of politics is promote ethnoreligious interest and interest of a few political heavyweights in a country.

When will you learn: a country of inequality knows no peace, and that without peace, no development? Mr Sophisticated, you guys have refused to learn: all parts of a country must sign to peaceful co-existence, else the country spends a fortune fighting undeclared wars, gets crippled?
Illiteracy is Nigeria's problem people will go and vote for people which can do nothing for them

It is the turn of the South East.

coming out from prison and straight made the president how did Obj work for it? how did Yoruba work for presidency when a consensus was reached for them to be made president in 1999? talking about insult was GEJ spared by Northerners and SW? something is really wrong with you and the Nigerian system if you still believe at this age that two people have all it takes to make one president of a country.
Buhari has made worst policies ever known to humanity thus making Nigeria a terrible place and poverty capital of the world and you expect him to be spared of criticism and insult.
you are telling the truth but the people in Nigeria are illiterate if Nigerians abroad they will go and vote for an idiot which can do nothing for them I have to see this with Nigerians in developed countries

So you actually have the knowledge of a consensus. Who were the parties to the concensus?

It was Obasanjo and his powerful military friends. Who was the biggest politician at the time? Atiku. Why didn't Atiku look for president himself? Because it was unfair that Nigeria was led since 1979 by Northerners, Shagari, Buhari, Babangida, Abacha and Atiku. I skipped Shonekan because his stint is so irrelevant.

The concensus is to entrust it to a southerner then collect it back which Atiku has tried unsuccessfully since then, even though the north actually got it back with Yaradua.

Basically, you agree that there was a concensus. Who has the SE entered into a consensus with? Nobody. The SE don't have Northern or Western alliances, how could they survive politics by being an island?

You think you have a choice. I don't really have a choice. Political parties have the choice. General elections is just a mere official process, the main choice of leaders is done at Party primaries.

If you believe you have eradicated Godfatherism, wait till Obaseki has finish his tenure and come and tell me if he will not sponsor his own candidate. You let politicians deceive you. Edo people just changed a Godfather, you can't eradicate Godfatherism, the earliest you realise the better.

Why was Wike in Edo, isn't he turning into a PDP Godfather.

Oya, bring the document.

Politics is not a game of I or you, its a game of us, them or together.

My own, there are over 200million Nigerians, subtract me, their are still over 200million Nigerians.

So it is not about me.

You may wish that Nigeria moves beyond the regional politics it is today, can you convince the 20million Nigerians to do same.

I have one vote, I choose who I like but only the majority win. And the majority will not listen to your speech.

It is either you sit and watch the majority or you join them and make the change amidst them.

SE doesn't want to join, they want to oppose the majority while asking them to do the right thing.

So based on what you just said there is no way Nigeria will ever make headway then a split is the only answer.
Fyi campaign manager isn't a godfather.. So Ganduje has become a god father? Don't be too quick to mention Edo.

Power going to the east is not the most important thing. What the East and the rest of Nigeria needs is true federalism. The tribe of whoever does it is not important. Don't be shocked an igbo man will even become president and fail to position the East for full economic growth.
There is nothing like true federalism in this country. It doesn't exist bro.

Yes I'm very hopeful, this country can't be called Federal Republic of Nigeria and we practise unitary government. At some point, we must switch to federalism.

Re: Pressure Mounts On Tinubu To Back Osinbajo For 2023 Presidency by Omoslim26: 2:14pm On Sep 28, 2020
Power Might just be retained in the North because as business man dat moves around I can tell you dat if The Southern part do not Join forces to either field a SS/MB so as to complete Goodluck's own tenure dat he was ousted out with support from SW which is no qualms but purely politics a game of interest or SE/MB it will give the north d upper hand D chances for SW are slim because with wat I have seen the mantra is e never reach their turn
The middle belt is the balance point and with d few peeps from the middle belt I have met and chatted with
they obviously do not want power to return to the North but giving it to SW is a no no because e neva reach their turn they will willingly go for a merger with South with Someone from their side as d second man
But if the Southern states do not agree on A United fronts den d North will be graced with their votes
