No P. UTME examination in UNIJOS for both UTME & DE aspirants.

You'll only register for the online screening - where you'll upload your O'level result and UTME score/DE qualification.

The forex market is a multi million dollar market that can never crash.

Many large institutions trade the market as well as retail traders.
You can confidently earn a living trading this market with just ur phone and start up capital as long as u have a good mentor.

In this group all u need to know about the forex market will be taught as well as the strategies for u to trade effectively.

It will definitely come with a cost but due to the prevailing economic situation of our nation it comes as a giveaway price of #5000.

You don't want to miss this life changing opportunity as u may never get a genuine trader willing to teach and mentor u for this low cost. Training starts on the 28th of Sept.

Dream here, hello everyone. I am a new member at NL thread.

Does anyone know the previous number of students that was admitted as of the 2019/20 academic session for the university of Uyo, Medicine and Surgery?
The average cutoff mark for past years, their criteria for offering admission and an example of
a scenario where the criteria is being met to boot?

1.For 2019/2020 session,86 students were admitted via UTME.

2. 2019/2020 Merit Cutoff ==> 292
2018/2019 ==> 314

3. As for admission criteria;
(i) A minimum grade of C6 in the 5 relevant O'level subjects(Maths,English,Biology,Chemistry and Physics).
(ii) Beat the merit cutoff, the catchment cutoff(if you're from South-South) or the ELDS cutoff(if you're from any of the ELDS).

Okay.
Hello. I haven't really posted anything on here before but I need the help, so it's worth a try.

I'm a medical student in my 3rd year and I believe I'm going to fail my first professional examination. I've been doing very badly, not because I have difficulty understanding or because I'm not passionate enough but because I can't seem to get what I'm reading to stick in my head.

I read and come back and reread and still, if you ask me a question on the topic, I won't know anything.

I did badly the last two semesters. My Anatomy is good enough but my Biochemistry and Physiology have gone to hell. I don't know what to do.

I haven't completed any of the first and second semester's work and I'm struggling to find my footing with third semester.

I feel defeated and depressed. I don't want to repeat or withdraw.

What study methods does anyone, any medical student or anyone think I can use to be able to remember what I've read?

Please, help.

@Dreyy, I can help you but that depends on how long you have before the exam.
My study methods are revolutionary(my opinion).
You can learn the most advanced of topics on new fields and still do exceptionally well.

We need to chat privately though.

It actually depends on ASUU.. But about a month or two after school has resumed.

Pardon, for others' sake.. Would you share it here?

Hello.

I'm so sorry about the challenge you're going through. It's something many medstudents have experienced at one point or the other.

I think the first step is to identify the problem. Could it be the way/manner you read? Are you reading the wrong texts? Are you spending enough time with the books? Or perhaps you are becoming increasingly anxious as your exam approaches (especially because of your performances in previous tests).

To improve my memory, I do three basic things.

1. Repetitions. I read, re-read, and re-read. Sometimes I go through my course outline twice or thrice before any assessment. If there's any tough topic, I prioritize it.

2. I develop acronyms for all sorts of things. I like constructing my acronyms as compared to getting them online. For courses like Embryology, you can develop your own flowcharts and other illustrations.

3. Videos. Get some MB and spend some time watching YouTube lecture videos. There are some nice videos with wonderful illustrations. They'd help you.

I'm not very good with discussions but if you find them productive, you could engage in them but avoid competitive discussions.

Truth is, you must find a way to control your anxiety. Forget all your poor results. Consider this a fresh start and give it your best. You still stand a fair chance of passing your exams.

Lastly, start studying with past questions. You could go as far back as five years. Know your past questions (your past tests/exams/past MB theories and MCQ's) by heart.

Most importantly, ask God to help you improve your memory. Pray frequently about your studies.

Wish you the best!

Evidence-Based Techniques to Maximize Learning

Technique, Description, :Utility

Summarization Writing summaries (of various lengths) of to-be-learned texts :Low

Highlighting/underlining Marking potentially important portions of to-be-learned materials while reading :Low

Keyword mnemonic Using keywords and mental imagery to associate verbal materials :Low

Imagery for text Attempting to form mental images of text materials while reading or listening :Low

Rereading Restudying text material again after an initial reading :Low

Elaborative interrogation Generating an explanation for why an explicitly stated fact or concept is true :Moderate

Self-explanation Explaining how new information is related to known information, or explaining steps taken during problem solving :Moderate

Interleaved practice Implementing a schedule of practice that mixes different kinds of problems, or a schedule of study that mixes different kinds of material, within a single study session :Moderate

Practice testing Self-testing or taking practice tests over to-be-learned material :High

Distributed practice Implementing a schedule of practice that spreads out study activities over time :High

This is the basic thesis of how I built my methods, currently I am learning two new languages and also a programming language with the with the ones with high output.
I won't be able to describe two years worth of data here. Maybe send me your e-mail.

And two months is quite good enough, but you will have to cultivate willpower to push through because you will be forced to master a lot of materials.
Generally you will get tired really( the brain consumes 30% of oxygen and can go higher the more it works harder) fast but build stamina as you go.

Je souhaiterai vous meilleur de chance.☺

It'll be better you transfer to a state University such as Uniosun, UNIMED, lautech and so on cos most Federal Universities do overuse their carrying capacity. And I doubt if Federal universities accept transfer into year 3, cos most transfer students are usually accepted in year 2

It's possible to transfer to another university after the 2nd MBBS and continue with 400 level, although it's not easy especially from a private university to a public university.

The guy didn't talk about a transfer into 3rd year. He meant a transfer into 400 level after the 2nd MBBS, and it's possible although it's not easy.

It's possible, although it's not easy. Go to the school you have in mind and start asking them now, so that when you pass your 2nd MBBS, it'll be easier for you.

Another hurdle is your present school. In fact, pass your 2nd MBBS first, although you should start now to make preparations.

People have done it before. A guy transferred from UNN to Ebonyi State University after passing his 2nd MBBS exam and continued with 400 level. Just ensure that your school is reputable.

I'm talking about the cost of school fee. Ebsu is state while unn is federal and by the way unn is more reputable, so I see no tangible reason y one would switch

The reason is best known to the person.
I have seen someone transfer from Private universites to UNN. In my 2nd year, someone transferred from UNN to UNILAG.

He must have transferred maybe cos he wae having issues with the school or her sysyem. UNN is more reputable than EBSU in every ramification save for the teaching hospital the governor is building now. No one for obvious reasons would want to transfer to EBSU from UNN.

How possible and feasible is this, transfering from one federal school to another and how much does it cost e.g Uniport to Unilag or Unical to UI

Find out from your current university and also from your proposed university if there's space.
Last i checked, UNN inter-university transfer is around 170k+ that was around 3 years ago.

That one is UNILORIN. Around 2015, UNN transfer fee was just 70k. It was later increased to 170k+ I'm sure its not up to 200k irrespective of courses sha..
Mind you, i know there will MUST be some connections here and there na grin
