Read what happened to the devil;

Verse 20 says that the devil was cast into the Lake of fire. It added, WHERE THE BEAST AND THE FALSE PROPHET ARE.

So the beast and the false prophet that were cast into the same Lake of fire over 1,000 years before Satan joined them are still there. They didn't not disappear into oblivion.

This reference is enough to prove to you that the Lake of fire is real and the torture is forever and ever.

What other proof do you need? If you don't believe this revelation, you are deliberately rejecting the truth of God's word and you will be in the same Lake of fire the beast and the false prophet will be thrown into.

I have given you proof that those thrown into the Lake of fire didn't disappear. The beast and the false prophet thrown into the Lake of fire in Revelation 19:20 are still there after over 1,000 years and Satan himself joined them in Revelation 20:10.

Yes, there are passages where the word soul also refers to the person. But just as many words can have multiple meanings depending on the context it is used. So, you have to determine the meaning of every word taking cognizant of the context it is used.

There are Scriptures that separates the soul from the body and from the spirit also. In this context, it doesn't refer to the total being.

Let's look at a few of them;

1Thesalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Here, the Scripture separates the spirit, soul and body.

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Here our Lord Jesus also separates the body from the soul. He said you can kill the body and not be able to keep the soul.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Hear it says that God's word can divide the spirit from the soul.

One last example is concerning Jesus:

Acts 2:26-27
²⁶Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

Hear, it says God did not leave the soul of Jesus in hell and didn't allow his body to decay.

So far Jehovah's Witnesses are the only group who treat the Bible as one composite book with a theme so if one part of the Bible is unclear to us, we'll seek understanding and interpretation from other parts of the Bible. (Romans 15:4, 2Timothy 3:16)
