"Am I being cheated?" This should have been the original question.
However, using 'am' such as "Am happy today" is grammatically wrong because the subject is missing. Instead it will be "I am happy today" or "I'm happy today" depending on the context (formal or informal).

I was asked to pay 3k to format each work before any other thing. The charges are as follows:

1. formatting 3k each
2. back cover 1k each

4. printing #400 each. About 70 pages

I'm printing 6 different books but I have a strong feeling that I'm being cheated as I don't have any experience regarding how much these things cost. please I need to know if I'm being cheated. Please help me out. Thank you.

Dude, Please send your books for review to someone else before you print. I dont want my son to fail english exams

You can do all those things by yourself.

But if you don't how or if you can't learn how to do it by yourself, then I don't see the reason why you can't just go ahead and pay the fees you were charged.

If you consider the fees you were charged to be so high, you can look around for a fairer prices.

A lot of the things we do here are informal and very little (if any at all)care to what and how we write. Could be an innocent error, just cut the chick some slack jare, afterall na phonics not grammar.
