I wonder why most Nigerians like cheating their customers. Once they notice you are a novice your own don finish be dat. This is one of the reasons I don't just walk into any shop to buy something without confirming the price from a friend or family member. I remember my first year in school, even though I am a good cook I got no experience when it comes to buying foodstuffs in the market. To avoid stories that touch I had to call my mum on my way to the market after I finished the stuffs I brought from home. She told me the price of carton of noodles, basket of rice/garri, cup of egusi and others.......Nor be me market women go take shine. |

Clicked: Okay I'm sorry. The OP needs to go back to school and ask for a complete refund. As a matter of fact, he shouldn't even be thinking of publishing a book in English now if his spellings are that bad. 'Cause he's gonna be such an embarrassment!!! |

Sermwell: N1,800 for 1 book. The person that wants to do it for me says N15k. He also says it can take up to three weeks. Where is the national library. I did one for a magazine about 15 years ago and someone did it for me at the national arts theatre then. |

Justdare: Phonics or not, it will be used by people..... It is phonics in the English language.... How would you like your child's phonics teacher to be throwing grammatical bombs.. I'm sure you'll cut her/ him some slack.... It's a constructive criticism, meant to help, please don't misconstrue it. I personally get pissed off when I see a piece of literature written with grammatical errors... You can be a writer and still need help to rewrite, vet, or do a thorough proofreading of it before releasing it |

Kriss216:What are you saying now "am" is an auxiliary verb. if you don't put "I" it means there is no subject in your sentence and it is therefore not correct. He was correct. So you see that you are the one who actually need someone to review your grammar |

You see why Nigerian graduates are unemployable, They don't offer any value most of the time. The op ask a simple question, Instead of answering, the spent more than 5 pages arguing about something totally different. They even think they are cool despite sounding stup#d And to the op, YES YOU ARE BEING CHEATED, D PRICE IS TOO HIGH. And why can't you format ur own work anyways. look for somewhere else where plenty of these guys dey, you will hardly be taken advantage of that way |

Sermwell:#400 could be cheap or expensive. Tell us the type of paper to be used, the quality of the printing and the type of machine doing the printing. Don't go and spend your money to print on expensive paper and high quality. Consider your market oh. Whether the book is printed at #400 using high quality material or printed at #200 using moderate quality material, the content remains the same. It is the content you are selling, whatever you are doing to cut cost, don't comprise on the quality cover and design. |

Understand the rule of grammar and stop the blind argument Okay |
Re: Am I Being Cheated?? Please Help!! by prinj(m): 1:00am On Oct 03, 2020 |
'I'm' is the contraction of 'I am'. While 'am' is a primary auxiliary verb 'to be' like: is, are, was, were, am, be, being, and been. These auxiliary verbs could be used as helping verbs e.g. I am eating she is reading They are also used as linking verbs e.g. I am a teacher The difference between I'm and am is: I'm is the first person singular pronoun I and auxiliary verb am while 'am' is just an auxiliary verb that can't start a sentence. Hence, it's wrong to write: Am with you my yoriyori instead write I'm with you my yoriyori. Am I being cheated? Is a misproportional question with contextual significant as it was used in the passage. However, its wrong for Am to begin any sentence or statement, am is either functions as linking verb or auxiliary verb. But I'm is a contraction, a contracted word because the subject, ''I'' is there with auxiliary verb am, ''m'' the apostrophe indicate the use of omitted letter a, which is grammatically correct but it becomes wrong when apostrophe is missing or when I, the subject is not there Thank You |
