Hello house, please my Visa will expire 22nd September, I have paid for my application but there are no available appointment dates for biometric from September to October. Abeg, how do I pay for appointment date. Cant find the payment option for such. Thanks

Have you checked for Premium appointments or scheudling appointments in near by towns? You may consider driving/traveling out of your locality to make the appointment. A friend of mine went all the way from London to Edinurgh for his appointment yearas ago.

All the nearest service points available are all fully booked to October. That is, London to Birmingham. At this point, I do not mind paying for available appointment dates but I cant find any option for such. Please anyone who paid for available appointment dates, please explain how you went about it, thanks.

Are you applying from within the UK? If so, you will be emailed to either use an app or to book an appointment. Just upload your supporting documents and wait for them to mail you. Check the UKVCAS website for more details.

Yes I am applying within UK. Hopefully they email me on options available. So far on their website, there are no available dates for core, enhanced and premium
appointment locations. Over 10 locations and no available dates.

You will not see dates until they invite you. I believe those that applied in August will processed by 14th September.

I dearly need help, i wish i got a solicitor as i am suffering from doing this application, as covid19 hit i became too relexed,.

I submitted my online application on 17 May 2020.
My bank statement and cash savings have issue date 8th June 2020 as there is no previous statement this is the latest one the last one is dated sept 2019, will this be a problem?

when i applied for first inital visa the dates were after the online application but it got accepted but this forum is telling otherwsie.

also decleration form i have signed for today 5th september do they need to be signed dated for May?

I am so lost sad

Also we are due to travel end of November is it better to delay submitting after we come back from abroad or will it be too late?

Thank you

I applied in July. They only sent me a mail asking to opt for an app as one of those selected to re-use my biometric. They said if I want to re-use then they will send an invite in the coming weeks. So, am still waiting after like three weeks now.

Your story is not coherent so that will make it difficult for people to understand and help.
You submitted in May - Meaning you paid in May, right?
If you submitted in may why will you talk about delay in submission because you are travelling in November?
If you submitted in may and did not book your appointment, they must have contacted you already to book your appointment.
Bank statement can have the date of the day you request for it so what are talking about when you say the last statement date was Sept. 2019?

Sorry and apologies i did read it back and it did sound confusing.

I applied in May 2020 online application. I could not then book biometrics because of Covid19 i have just been invited to do biometrics and upload docs. I had everything in plan but lost my bank statements anf cant find them. Therefore i am using the ones from online issue date is in June 2020 after the application date will that be a problem?

Also i meant as in delaying doing biometrics and sending docs through the App so we can travel and come back and complete the application? As we didnt get an email to say complete it before a particular date.

Also will it be a problem if unable to provide corrospondent letters in same month for one of the months. In 2019 i have got Jan docs for both of us but can only find Aug for partner and sept for myself no other docs will that be okay?

Sorry and thanks hope that makes sense?

You can walk into your bank today or tomorrow for a new bank statement. I believe the date of the statement is important and has a vilidity period for this purpose but I may be wrong.
Travelling should have no bearing on your application since you won't submit your passport. But if you submitted in may, that means your BRP would have expired by now (You can only apply within 28 days of expiry of the last leave ).
As for the correspondence, my opinion is that as long as it is within reasonable time apart (yours in August and hers in September), that should be acceptable proof for that period.
Re: Applying For FLR After Your Initial UK Spouse Visa (extension) by Hashan190228: 5:34pm On Sep 07, 2020
Thanks for your reply.
So it does not matter if the issue date i guess as they are more interested in money before application submitted... right?

With corrospondent i think i am okay but for January 2020 i dont have any letters but my wife does that might be a problem? As i cant find any post in my name in January...

Also mortgage you just need to send statement and land registery, i own it with my sibling i guess need a letteer from them too to say wife can stay .

And decleration form signed by all whos name are on corrospondent?

I have been sent the invite to use the ID App today which I have done and submitted. UKVI also sent me a letter giving me a ref for my FLRMdocuments in case I want to send letters to them about my documents.

PLEASE QUOTE REF: 00000000 IN ANY CORRESPONDENCE.

Due to the volume of correspondence we may be unable to locate your application without this reference and your correspondence may be returned to you.

Thank you for your application for permission to stay in the UK.

We apologise for the inconvenience, but, due to the worldwide response to COVID-19, UKVI services are limited and we are not able to meet our usual service standards.

Although we would normally decide your application within eight weeks from the date it was submitted, unfortunately this may not be possible in your case.

In line with Government advice on essential travel, social distancing and other restrictions related to COVID-19, for the safety of our customers and our staff, the UK Visa and Citizenship Application Service (UKVCAS) locations where you would ordinarily submit your biometric details and provide any documents for scanning that you have not already uploaded yourself, have been closed. Some centres are now opening with limited capacity so you may now be able to get an appointment – it is important you attend if an appointment is offered.

If your application was submitted prior to your current grant of leave expiring, your current status within the United Kingdom has been extended by section 3C of the Immigration Act 1971. You do not need to do anything else at this stage and do not need to be concerned about your immigration status.

If you have applied to switch your status in respect of your employment or studies then please refer to the guidance on Gov.UK as you should be permitted to commence work / study prior to your application being decided, should you meet the conditions set out in the guidance.

We apologise for the delay in dealing with your application and for the inconvenience this is causing. Please be assured we will do all we can to make a decision on your case as quickly as possible once your biometric details have been submitted.

We appreciate your patience at this time.

Kind regards.

Yours sincerely

@lamakinde hope you’re ok. Wanted to confirm something. Who is meant to show bank statements and salary threshold of more than £19k, me (the applicant) or my husband (the sponsor).

I’m confused because when I did my first application, it was my sponsor that had to prove affordability. He submitted his payslips and bank statement. But now, what I’ve read so far, it’s me (the applicant) that has to show this. I’m worried cos I stopped working during the pandemic but he worked all through, so he is in the best position to show affordability.

For income it can be either your sponsor's income, your income or a combined income

Hallo, funny how time flies. It feels like yesterday that I was applying for my first spouse visa and I am now almost ready to apply for ILR. Is anyone else applying for ILR soon? I need to read up on it. I have just done the life in the UK test yesterday, I now need to start the actual process. If anyone else is at this stage, it will be good to share ideas, either way, I will be back to update this thread when I am done. Or maybe create an ILR thread cos I can't seem to find one, if there is one, could someone please share the link. Cheers.

Hello house , what can one do if one is not earning exactly £18,600 to apply for spouse visa. Assuming the person is earning £17,500. Can the person do overtime to meet up the pay? How will the overtime be calculated.

2. How is the £18,600 calculated? Is it base on the annual salary or base on the six months?

3. Then for the accommodation, can one use a friend's house to make the application? Will home office accept it. If yes, what do I need from the friend.

4. Lastly can one add self employed job + permanent job to make application.

I will appreciate comments pls. Thank you
Re: Applying For FLR After Your Initial UK Spouse Visa (extension) by newbie715: 1:53pm On Sep 20, 2020
You are allowed to be outside the UK for up to 180 days in any given year for the ILR application but you cannot be outside the UK for more than 90 days in any 12-month period in the 5 years preceding your naturalisation application.

So it's different for ILR and citizenship. Something to bear in mind.

Did you need to submit your passport by post? Or are they just going to mail you a letter on how to get your new BRP (upon success)?

No, they didn't request for my passport. They wrote "UKVCAS will directly contact you if additional documents are needed".

Hi Ladies/Gents

If you have found your way to this page, then congratulations, you have passed that first hurdle smiley

I thought after all those with Successful UK spouse visas, it will be nice to have a page for the next stage, FLR for the extensions after 2.5years being in the UK with your significant other kiss

So I will be gathering as much information as I can as time passes to help with upcoming applications.

The main thing to remember, once your spouse has been granted their spouse visas, and arrive in the UK is to make sure you start gathering evidence of cohabitation since this is what you supply instead of the Communication evidence smiley

So here goes for the next stage smiley

Karen

Please could someone post the link or direct me to the UK website where I can find the information attached with regard to joint address.

Thank you
