steady986:Not really sarcasm. He's right, this is a poor finals showing by LeBrons standards. Shows you just how high that standard is. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 6:13am On Oct 07, 2020 |
People talk about how it was a travesty that LeBron only got 16 MVP votes. The biggest travesty by far was Giannis winning DPOY over AD. That was a blatant robbery. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 6:59am On Oct 07, 2020 |
Isn't it strange how A40 didn't miraculously wake up today? |

WeissVonner:Most importantly is that he gets the wins. I was a bit shocked to see you bring concerned about who gets finals MVP. You think the Lakers care who gets that award? They want the chip and that's all. Like I said, there's levels to this shít. We can thank the Clippers for choking and not giving us a chance. ![]() |
| Re: The NBA Begins by FBS: 9:35am On Oct 07, 2020 |
Irrespective of the outcome of the finals, I think it is fair to say that the Heat stretched the Lakers. Not a mismatch as many previously mentioned. Game 5 will be spicy. ![]() |
| Re: The NBA Begins by xwolverine: 3:00pm On Oct 07, 2020 |
FBS:It was war last night and I think the Lakers have figured out how to deal with Spo's adjustments, that's why apart from Herro and Robinson, the points came from other role players and not Jimmy (22pts), Crowder ( 8pts ), Olynyk (4pts), Nunn (6pts) unlike in game 3. If anything, the Lakers do well when the game gets physical, remember the Rockets/Nuggets series? Game 5 will be brutal because the Heats played into the Laker's hands by making the game more physical, which suits them because of their height advantage. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 2:24am On Oct 08, 2020 |
xwolverine:They really didnt figure out that defense. The Lakers won because Lebron just decided he was going to force the issue, otherwise it would be 2-2 right now. That being said,Lakers have to feel good because they were able to clamp Butler down and stay ahead with all the bricks Danny Green, Kuzma and Morris were laying. Kudos to the coach on the defense - that was stellar, and it kept Lakers in the game |
| Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 7:19am On Oct 08, 2020 |
This just buttresses my point about LeBron being the one who takes over in the 4th. It's happened throughout the season. Perhaps it's something they agreed on.

WeissVonner:This was sooo satisfying . . . |
| Re: The NBA Begins by xwolverine: 12:37pm On Oct 08, 2020 |
birdman:They did figure it out, hence the couple of non-contested threes, slash plays and instant/Hezzy drives by Rondo, Lebron and KCP in the fourth. Plus making good use of quick breaks before the defence is set. LeBron also started ignoring half court pickups by Robinson which is designed to give Jimmy time to catch his breath and take over the guarding while Bam/Jae Crowder meet him at the rim |

Lebron rightly predicted the Heat's energy coming into came 4 and prepped his team mates to match it. I believe the series would be 2-2 now without that intervention. LeBron on why he texted his teammates Tuesday that Game 4 was a must-win. He explains why he did that when he woke up that morning. "I felt like for me, personally, this was one of the biggest games of my career. I just wanted to relay that message to my teammates, the type of zone I was in, the type of moment it was and the kind of team we were playing against...They were going to come out like the energy they finished Game 3 with with their energy very high..." "They are just a gritty, so damn-well-coached team. I feel like if we're going to be a championship ballclub, if we want to really be a championship team, that we got to have that same grit and that same attitude. It was my mindset. I'm still in it." |

When the Clippers traded all their assets for PG it was widely considered one of the worst deals ever. Even more so because PG was largely trash and they didn't make the playoffs. Sam Presti even deserves to be exec of the year because of that trade and because his team was still able to make the playoffs despite losing his two stars. But what I don't get is Pelinka coming seventh. This is the same Lakers team that nobody gave a chance even after acquiring AD. That he was able to build a championship roster in a couple of days is just overlooked. How the hell do these people think? Man, the hate for anything concerning the Lakers is real. I wouldn't be surprised if Jimmy Butler is voted MVP when the Lakers win the chip.

| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 7:20am On Oct 09, 2020 |
steady986:Executives also hate Pelinka because he's a former agent. They're the ones voting for these awards. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 7:23am On Oct 09, 2020 |
WeissVonner:And so they voted Frank just to spite him. That's just petty ![]() |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 11:19am On Oct 09, 2020 |
steady986:Sam Presti definitely should have won. |

Roland17:Abeg I go question am well well. Have you seen his 4th quarter totals? He's definitely not winning FMVP and he's really supposed to be the one driving this team. Low-key an indictment on him that a player in his 17th year is doing so |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 5:17pm On Oct 09, 2020 |
A40:Its not even about everyone else. You certainly didn't. Suffice it to say it's very satisfying to see you eat crow after all the sh-t you've been talking. Oh and BTW, your man dropped "The Last Dance" too early, he may need to come back with a second iteration. |

We will win this championship, and we will troll with it. We will bring out receipts of you talking sh*t about LeBron and the Lakers. We will remind you haters every single day that LeBron won a championship with the Lakers. We will flood this thread with photos of LeBron smiling with the championship trophy and his FMVP trophy. We will remind you for months to come that LeBron has now won a championship and FMVP with 3 different teams. We will make sure you get so annoyed that you begin to think of deactivating your account. Brace yourself. |

steady986:Dude, the LeBron propaganda is going to be out of this world man. The amount of all time greats who have come out and called LeBron the GOAT over the past couple of days is just crazy. Love how the narrative is changing. |

Looking like premium tears for AD. It better not be his Achilles. He better be pulling a Paul Pierce. |
