TransAtlanticEx:

Pained and envious of what? Who the hell do you think you are? You are a small timer my friend. Just take that to the bank and shut your mouth. You feel the need to come online to brag to faceless people and it shows your low self esteem. Only small dikk and broke people in reality come online to brag. If I do my investigation on you now (which I promise you that I can do), I will find out that it’s all lies.

Mr I am so rich top 10 percentile wey no get single international account or credit card? Continue to dey lamba to people wey no know what’s up.
I'll tell you something you may not believe
But its true

I know a kinsman from my village (I'll call him my uncle, because in igbo custom, your kinsman that senior you is your uncle, even tho the blood ties are not direct)

This man is a successful business man and trader
Annual turnover is in hundreds of millions

But he has no foreign account anywhere
In fact
After Svannah Bank fiasco

He had to be cajoled years later into opening accounts

Why am I telling you this?.
Sometimes
Things are not as you think they might be

Some people may have tens of millions
And have no foreign account
Or even $50 in their pocket

While others may just be N5m up
And have a foreign account in Cabo....

Things are not always as they seem.

Sorry brother. You are talking about the old days when globalization was just a word in the dictionary. Walahi, any business man today that claims to be top 10 percentile and is well travelled cannot survive without at least one foreign account or international credit card. That’s a fact!
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by 9jatriot(m): 8:15pm On Oct 10, 2020
Good you brought this up, the question is, what does something need a foreign account for if most of your transaction are here in Nigeria and perhaps you only have to pay online for items once in a while. I just didn't understand that line of argument at all

Nairaland is a faceless forum and everyone can claim to be anything, however when you consistently speak knowledgeably about an issue, people will know you for that, nothing anyone can do about that.

@ahib, Grupo and nig2dump, you guys are letting this yoot guy get under your skin. Make una resist the urge to shalaye which he has successfully made you guys do. Whether anyone is up the top 10% or bottom 10%, I guess we all view here first because of TB and recently for life lessons and other business real life opportunities. As proof, there has been at least 3 feedbacks of people who have come to appreciate Ahib and oga Emma for pointing them in the right direction earlier this year, same cannot be said about the recent mouth making yoot guy, at least for now.

This was how I evaluated the situation when he first showed up the scene earlier in the year, I still believe this is true.

9jatriot:
The only thing I see in this recent outburst is someone trying so so hard to be seen as relevant, as equal if not better than those who have proven themselves in what they are known for in the past years on this thread.

It is the same way insecure uneducated folks always compare themselves with their educated peers by always making reference to having more money, yet one of the first things they do is send their kids to those same school to compensate for their insecurity.

Musical artist also use the same strategy to hit the limelight, they do that by releasing a song to dish a more popular artist so that somehow their name becomes associated with that artist and people can now begin to talk about them and perhaps want to know more about them.

If you have ever had friends who never see anything good about themselves and makes statements like, is it because God has blessed you with money, is it because I am not married yet, is it because you got admission in the uni before me, is it because you passed your JAMB, is it because I don't stay in Lagos/ Island/ Abroad/ Abuja/ Port, is it because I am from this .../ is it because I am not as tall/short/ fine/ ugly/ fat/ lepa/, is it because my moniker is..., is it because.., is it becausehuhhuh Always negativity, never positivity.

Scientist believe that people are likely to have some form of mental health issues that make feel inferior at all times which they try to mask with I am beta than you syndrome.

Onitsha traders will disagree with you

For some of them
Their only connection to foreign currency

Is the letter of credit Access bank or Zenith bank submits to their suppliers partner bank in china or vietnam or turkey (for those who deal in curtains and textile)

That is about it.

For some who own dorm accounts here
Its primarily for hedging and some capital preservation
Nothing more.....

So, while it may be convenient to own a foreign account if you are always on the move

It's not imperative that you MUST OWN ONE
Abi do some of these northern multimillionaire farmers in Bauchi state know what dorm account is? Talk less of foreign account?

You must be high on cheap drugs. Who cares about you and your friends? Who the hell do you think you are? Has it occurred to you that this is a public forum that is owned by Nairaland? You don’t own this forum and didn’t even start the thread. What makes you think there are outsiders or that you have a clique that anyone wants to be a part of? What gives you the right to ask for anyone to be excluded? As who na? Please give yourself sense and stop yearning trash. If you want a private forum, go and get yours. Otherwise, deal with it cos I’m here to stay!
