How can the so called youths claim to be sane and better thinkers, yet dumb enough to be this jobless,so much so that they have all the time in the world to be chanting in the streets over a problem that has been solved already?
Sane youths are in the various places of business or work making a difference, whereas never do wells are in the streets disturbing the peace.

Solved?

I like you in a way conglomerate but you need to work on your mental health.

We're not jobless and if your generation did what is right, we will not be having this issue.

Let me school you, CHANGE is what we're clamouring for and CHANGE itself is not a Destination.

It's the journey of where you are ('As is') to where you want to be(*To be')

To focus on the end goal without considering the Journey is to put the Strategic path before the Change Management.

What tha hell is SWAT!

You don't want another security outfit to be created?
Do you know what will happen to you without a swift, tactical and weaponized strike force? undecided
When a force is scrapped completely and another built from scratch,do you know that means?
It means its chain of command will be scrapped and another built from down up.
Meaning new people will head different key positions and it wont be business as usual to footsoldiers, since they have different people to answer to.
Also,an independent monitoring unit will be formed, run by private individuals to keep this force's activity in check.
Do you know what that means?incorruptible, external internal affairs.
So tell me,what else do the youths want?
Btw,I am a very young man,so I don't know what you mean by MY GENERATION.

Are you a youth?
Are you tired of insecurity and oppression?
Do you want to make a change?
Then go out there, get busy and bring home the bacon.
This is the only change you can make, not by disturbing the peace on the streets.
You will say it is a peaceful protest, but is it really peaceful?
Do you know what it cost to obstruct a city like Lagos's economic activity for a day?
So tell me,where is the peace when people have lost billions due to this?
I blame the president sha,its like democracy is a tool westerners use to manipulate shitholes, they want to impose on us what our democracy should be like.
Else I see no reason why a "shoot to kill protesters" order wasn't given by the president to the armed forces

Strike force that are only active when it comes to kidnapping innocent citizens and making them do transfers at gun point?

I reported an ongoing robbery in Sars office lekki, the fools asked me to mobilize them. Wtf!

But if I had gone to give them information about some yahoo yahoo youth, they would have immediately swung into action without asking for mobilization. Bunch of clowns! angry

This jargon you wrote is nice on paper but we know those old men in charge just did a change of name without the orientation to value human life we're clamouring for.

I repeat Change is not a Destination, it's a journey.

Skipping steps only produces the the illusion of speed and never produces the satisfying results.

Btw do you know mental issues and having no empathy can make the content in a young vessel older and worn out than a 70years old man?

Robbers also came to my ex friend's house to rob, heavily armed.
Jumped the fence, were struggling to force open the main door before SARS came.
Killed one, apprehended some while some escaped.
The guy pay them 100k after the whole ordeal sha,but better than having those armed men in his house.Who knows how it would have ended?
Happened in Abuja though.

You lack facts to back up your claim.
Go back to Social media, did you not see where Davido acknowledged being handed the task of creating a monitoring organisation of the activity of these officers?
Do you know what that means? undecided
It means an independent, private run outfit will be the internal affairs of this squad.
Meaning the police will have no influence whatsoever over these people and their activities and you'd make all your reports about erring officers to them, not to the police.
If you have ever had a real job in your life, you'd know the impact of this kind of implementation.
As for your last paragraph, don't worry about my person,I am doing very fine thank you.
If we stand side by side, many would think you are my uncle,no cap wink

Well, you don't expect me to mobilize them when I wasn't the one being robbed.

I was only doing my duty as a patriotic citizen by reporting crime.

True.
Next time tell them the person being robbed will mobilize them on arrival.
It works like magic wink
If we don't want mobilization fee no more, let's fund the government properly.
Like telling them to increase Tax to say 35%,like the developed world we always compare ourselves to all the time, increase VAT too like in developed world, remove subsidies too and end socialism so as to save our government enough money to be able to fund security properly.
This way,no one will ask you for mobilisation fee again.
An officer earning 400k a month, mortgage and a secure pension and insurance has no business with asking you mobilisation fee,its natural.
Thank me later. wink

1. No FSARS personnel should be in this SWAT Team

2. Only Graduates with experience should be drafted into the team.

Only then we know we have a New Team, Till then #EndSWAT Is the new hashtag.

Any government which truly cares about the citizens will realise that the #EndSARS protests go beyond that one issue - just a trigger. It's government's responsibility to address root causes, fundamental issues. Nigerians are demanding #GoodGovernance. Copied!

At the first bolded, we want implementation and we're watching closely. Beside our 5 for 5 was just granted today so today protest was not bad in any way.

At the second bolded, i know a lot to implement effective change management in your organization if you ever own an organization smiley and you will pay me via royalty and not salary.

If the protests persist the fpi may start dumping their stocks leading to panic sales among many other reasons fundamental investors are getting annoyed with the uprising.

Who mobilizes them to go kidnap yahoo boys and innocent citizens?

Even if tax is increased to 100%, nothing will change.

They go after yahoo boys to extort money, something they wouldn't have done if they were funded adequately.
If you pay police 400k/month,they have mortgage or say 10 year plan to have a home, car notes,etc...trust me no one of them will want to go on high speed chase with yahoo boys wink
But you cant do this without money, can you?How do you raise money locally?Taxes.
So how can you say taxing effectively will have no effect?
The reason police kidnap,do private security,Etc...is because of acute poverty,so much so that they'll literally starve if they depend only on salaries.

Good questions you asked

The writer is ignorantly trying to say that Nigeria and Nigerians should not pay much attention to the forex..

The structure of the Nigerian economy however betrays that suggestion.

Now that the USD is sliding further down
Bread that is a staple across Nigeria

Made from largely imported wheat/ flour
Sourced abroad

What happens to the price of bread after this slide in the exchange rate

I dont want to get angry this afternoon cheesy grin cheesy

Let me just pretend like I did not see or read the article

in as much as i dont agree with the writer, your points also indirectly supports the writers opinion. For example, note the foods the writer talked about. they are all locally produced. he/she never mentioned bread or wheat or flour. what he is saying is if we all decide to buy only foods/products fully made from local ingredients, our values will improve. meaning eat only garri, beans, yam, palmoil, nigerian fruits etc. not rice (cos u need to import the machines), bread, butter, canola oil, strawberry, apple, spaghetti etc. grin grin grin grin
