Finals MVP is not the end all be all. Really, think about it. It takes only the finals game(s) into account and could careless if the FMVP was coasting during the first round, semis and conference finals. And MJ would have entered the following season after his 35th birthday as the best player as well. By the way, Giannis and Harden deserved it but narrative gave it to RWB. Warriors had 67-15 that year and won 18 straight games with Durant out. Curry had 28 ppg as well. But MJ beating the warriors in 2017/18 is not an unknown? Also, you are right that they had a 23 pt lead but that was with 9 mins to go in the 3rd Q and 21 mins overall. We have seen LAL come back from a similar lead against a hot Denver within a shorter time frame than that. We also saw SAS lose at their own ground having led by 22 points to the same Warriors team with KD out. MJ can be the GOAT and still lose to a better team.
