steady986: Finals MVP is not the end all be all. Really, think about it. It takes only the finals game(s) into account and could careless if the FMVP was coasting during the first round, semis and conference finals. And MJ would have entered the following season after his 35th birthday as the best player as well. By the way, Giannis and Harden deserved it but narrative gave it to RWB. Warriors had 67-15 that year and won 18 straight games with Durant out. Curry had 28 ppg as well. You see, if your argument is that Lebron deserved it this season then why would it not have been one of the warriors players that 2016/17 season? |

SIRcumalot:Look, the Lakers should have gone 4-0 against the Clippers in the regular season. We actually had a double digit lead in the third quarter in both game 1 & 2. But let's not dwell on that. We lost. But the last two games were actually the most important because they were the closest to the playoffs. Beating a team closer to the playoffs after previous loses shows that you're probably better than them. The Lakers had found the Clippers out right form game 3 2 Likes |

Said one senior Lakers executive: “While some of our so-called rivals spent literally hundreds of millions of dollars trying to win media cycles, we kept our heads down and focused on basketball — because the only thing we’ve ever cared about winning is championships.” Love the pettiness. People sleeping on Westbrook. Replace Paul George with Westbrook on that Clippers team and they automatically become better. In fact I'll fear them more than I did this season. Meanwhile, I hear the Clippers are looking at Rondo. Lol. All of a sudden Rondo is a hot cake. The only thing that can take Rondo there is if they quadruple his money. He'll earn 2.6m next year if he stays. I'm keeping Rondo by all means if I'm the Lakers. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 8:32pm On Oct 14, 2020 |
steady986: LOL None of the veteran Lakers players is going anywhere. They've already made enough money. They can get someone like Markieff or Javale or Dion but trust me, Rondo and Dwight aren't going anywhere except if the Lakers decide they don't want them which I seriously doubt. 2 Likes |

steady986: Rob Parker is shameless. Congratulate the dude for his accomplishments and move on, no, he's bitching about, actively hating a player like he is a jilted spouse. What about the context? With an incompetent front office and bad culture Cleveland was a dead end and Lebron knew it. Without a competent front office and/or a competitive team culture you are doomed before you can even compete. |

steady986: Rondo wont work for Clippers. Those wide open 3s he got are for a reason - you would rather live with a Rondo making shots than anyone else. Any other big PG on the Lakers would have done the same or more damage on offense - even Caruso looks awesome on the Lakers. I'm all for Rondo making tons of money off of clippers, then sucking come playoffs The one thing a slower, older Rondo still has though, is that basketball instinct, and it complemented a slower, older Lebron very well during the Nuggets series. It was almost funny to see how they were taking advantage of a much younger team just through smarts. This is why I dont think Rondo would mesh as well with the Clippers - Clippers need to ressurrect the Indiana Pacers PG3, or find another gunner. If nothing else, I never liked the hatred Celtic Rondo had for Lebron, it seemed like he was carrying Pierce's hate. An older, more independent Rondo seems to have a better appreciation and respect for Lebron. I hope he stays a Laker. 1 Like |

Android17:I want you to explain why you believe in a Game 7 MJ would take 13 3's. Because they literally lost that game due to their inability to make 3's MJ lost to the better team when he didn't have any help this is not the debate here. Your argument about SAS losing to the Warriors sans KD is also moot because same SAS beat the Warriors by 29 points on their own ground WITH KD The argument is were the Warriors beatable and the answer is a resounding YES. The rest is semantics. If it took a CP3 injury for the Warriors to come back from a 3-2 deficit then don't say that team was unbeatable |

Rob Parker is a genius That escape to Miami has done more damage than people want to admit. LeBron has moved around so much that his statue one day will have him holding a basketball — and a suitcase. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Android17: 5:36pm On Oct 15, 2020 |
A40: MJ has both won and lost games that he barely shot any 3s and when he shot many 3s. Against Portland in 92 game one he shot many 3s and they won that game because he made 7 of them. Further, Rockets lost to the better team. They led first half because they made their 3s so losing second half because they did not make their 3s is logically consistent. CP3 was playing while Rockets were down 2-1 so him being the reason they did not win from 3-2 is as you said, moot. A warriors fan is also allowed to say Rockets went up 3-2 from 2-1 because Andre Iguodala got injured in game 3. MJ lost with help in 1994/95. You are right that Warriors lost by 29 points to the spurs. Which is why I conceded that losing that game 1 of WCF was probable with them being down 23 with 21 minutes to go. Being beatable is not about losing a game or 2. It is about losing a series. 1 Like |

Android17:Are you serious? Are you comparing Andre Iguodala to Chris Paul? This is a terrible joke surely No objective fan would compare Iguodala to Chris Paul They led the first half because they made their 3's? Do you guys even fact check anything at all. They shot 7-44 from 3 the entire game bro!! Always double-check and don't just post anything to make an argument Who was MJ's help in 94/95? How well did they play? Beatable means they can be beat. There is difference between unbeaten and unbeatable. If you can be pushed to a Game 7 and be down by double digits by half-time even with the other team missing it's second best player then you can be beat |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 6:10pm On Oct 15, 2020 |
WeissVonner:Stupidity and ignorance is surely the only legal tender in Bronsexuality country. You have the comprehension skills of a Trisomy 21 sufferer. Whether MJ was a good or bad 3pt shooter is moot. Though he was good enough to shoot 40% from 3pt in the Finals even without a shortened line. What I showed to a bumbling dyslexic country eediot like yourself is that the volume of 3's taken also can affect efficiency. Dolt |

Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 6:15pm On Oct 15, 2020 |
A40: You can spin this however you want, you crying because Bron in year 17 at 35 put up waaay waaay waaay better numbers than your man in year 13 at 35 who went into full on brick mode. Nothing will change that. Nothing will also change the fact that your man was a bad 3 point shooter. You are a grown man who is all over the place spamming "bronsexual" in every comment you make and you're accusing other people here of stupidity and ignorance? This is why nobody takes you seriously anymore. Just stop embarrassing yourself. |

WeissVonner:A flaming nonce like you probably considers a rank idiot and unrepentant Bronsexual knobjockey like Nick Wright a genius so why not Rob Parker who actually spat facts. Nobody respects Le3-6-1 and his Mickey Mouse ring which explains why even after winning he is out there crying for respect. Literally nobody cares for his Mickey mouse ring apart from crackhead Bronsexuals like yourself Tywin Lannister said it best Any Man Who Must Say 'I Am The King' Is No True King"

You don't expect to talk shyte and not get a clap back. You don't get an extra ring for putting up better efficiency numbers you dweeb! Literally pointed out to you Muppets that LeNomad's numbers are easily explainable because he has been taking the bulk of his shots closer to the basket (3ft). He can do that now because he's playing in a soft era with no real rim protection. I don't recall anyone ever saying MJ was a great 3 point shooter. Neither is LeNomad FFS. You can't comprehend for shyte Lol you're literally the most obtuse swine to ever grace this planet. Who comes here to be taken serious? I thought we simply came here to banter basketball and bounce. Rondo's situation is kind of a tricky one. At this stage of his career what is it that he really wants? He's made quite a few bucks over the years, but he wouldn't mind getting $14m in two years before he calls it quits. That's a handsome retirement money. If the Lakers won't give him that money I won't be surprised if he goes where he can get it. On the other hand, why leave a team where you just won. Staying with the Lakers could almost guarantee you a few more chips, if that's what you're chasing. Because right now, chips look like the only thing that can land him in that hall of fame. All in all, I think he'll stay if the Lakers agree to give him 4-5m a year. |
