For who it may concern. MIUI 12 is live on redmi note 7 EEA version. It hasn't been pushed to the normal system updater app in settings though. But it was shared on the official miui updates telegram group.

These are the same people that will come and complain about battery drain and Android system ish after they've updated to MIUI 12 oh and say they would've stayed on MIUI 11. This life sha.

Anyway, you made an ill-informed comparison between miui and ios so I responded to that. Had you made the comparison between miui and one ui, you probably would have gotten a different response

Depends on your taste.

Normal launchers: Microsoft, Nova, Smart, Pixel

Weird ones: AIO, Niagara, Wide

Redmi 8 - 720p+(HD+)
Redmi 9 - 1080p+(FHD+)

Since your on v11. 0.1.0. I believe your good to go either way. But I personally updated my phone with the second one.
