Hi everyone

Is it possible for paper applicants to receive PPR after AIP and medical request passed since passport submitted already??

Paper route applicant will not receive a request to submit their passport. You will be informed via MyCIC account that your application has been approved and your processed passport is ready to be dispatched.

It will end in praise

Good morning everyone, I am completely clueless on how to go about this whole thing. The main aim is to apply for a Masters degree program ( 2:1) and I have five schools in mind, which are:

University of Saskatchewan
Memorial university of Newfoundland
University of Northern British Columbia
University of Calgary
Simon Fraser university

1) Which of the above school is the best option?

2) What is the first thing I have to do? And what other steps do I have to take?

3) How much should I be looking at apart from tuition fee?

Please help
First of all,
For Career Academic Progression purpose, make sure the Masters u are going for aligns with ur First Degree

1) Do Await a response on that from Students/Alumni of the mentioned skools that are in this forum

2) The first thing u gotta, do
You have to visit the website of those schools u mentioned, check the staff list of the program u are going for, check the profile of Professor/Doctors, and send them a mail to know if they are accepting students and show you are interested in their respective research areas. You can also work towards getting a Funded thesis-based Masters as well.

The link below will guide u on that
Guides/contents/videos in the link below on how to apply for M.SC & also possible M.SC Funded (Scholarship) Position in Canada
https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/111#90933556

3) It all depends,

- Apart from tuition,
if u are the only the person travelling and its a 1 year Program u are going for, you av to compulsorily show the availability of $10,000 CAD for ur One Year Living Expenses, if someone is going with u, u gotta show extra funds.

- If u are going for 2 Years Masters Program, u gotta show at least 1 year Living Expenses of $10,000 CAD and also show how u are gonna get the $10,000 for the second year, if u are opportune to av the $20,000 CAD for that 2 years, show it.

Do await more inputs from the house

Don't give up at all. Start reading from the beginning of this thread, you would find a lot of useful information. It might seem like a lot to read, but when you go through, you would see that you do stand a chance.

It's all about the course you choose and how you package your application.

Canadian Study permit might be tough to get but definitely not impossible for you.

Also, feel free to ask questions here.

This Nairaland family is amazing! A lot of selfless people here.

University of Saskatchewan and Uni of Calgary have a good record with international students, but what you should be after is a school that fits what you have in mind in terms of course of choice, funds and every other thing.
Read through the thread to gain proper insight on what you need to do and feel free to ask any questions on here.
Asides you tuition fee you should have and show proof of at least 10,000CAD for your living expenses.

Honorable, I doubt it has anything to do with not getting a BVL. Applications are processed by different officers and affected by so many other factors, So BVL is not always according to when the application was submitted. AIP is already pointing in a positive direction. Your friend should keep calm and stay positive.

Best wishes

Thanks Hon. Chocs ...appreciate....

Can I conclude that this scenerio does not av anything to do with the Applicant who got AIP and hasn't gotten BVL yet or could it be that cos his skool (DL) is yet to be in the Covid-19 readiness Plans ?

Some schools take your last 2 years of study into account. So if you get good grades in your last 2 years even if you have a 2.2, you´ll still stand a chance of being admitted.
