Always distinguish between those who protested peacefully and those who looted. They are not one and the same.

Regulation of social media goes against freedom of speech principles, now you are giving the government license to prosecute, jail and kill you because of the things you say. Now where they will abuse it is that whatever they say is the truth no matter how contradictory it is.

Just look at the Army trading blames with the Lagos State government trying to cover up what happened. Are you going to tell me it is a good idea to let them decide what you can and can't say?

I understand your point whole heartedly. But I believe that when such laws are being created, several factors will be put into consideration including the preservation of human right and free speech, hence the balance mentioned earlier in my previous post.

Social media is too volatile to be left without any control.. I want to sleep knowing that when my kids visit the website, they will be protected against any misinformation, fake news, amorality etc.
