They charge £10 per full box so if you’re ordering a box of yams for instance, that’s already £10 minus other things.

Try other places and see. I used Sami’s once and didn’t love them but you might be lucky.

To the glory of God, I got my passport today with 3 years tier 2 visa. I took the IELTS for ukvi, passed. Did my biometrics at Ikeja on June 8, using walk in and priority. Got my passport today, decision was made June 18 that's 7 working days.
Thank God my priority payment wasn't in vain but Ikeja show me pepper for walk in, walk in turned to stand out, they didn't attend to us until after all those on appointment had been attended to. Well all is well that ends well, decision was made on the day I would have had my appointment if I didn't use walk in.
Those UK people have chopped my money plenty, I must retaliate when I land UK, not coming there to count bridge.
Thanks to all that contributed to my matter.

Please, could you give a rough estimate of your application and processing fees in total? I hope to have an idea of how much I may spend.

Bro it is not disrespectful, it is a statement of fact that you get charged when you use your barclays card abroad. https://www.barclays.co.uk/help/cards/using-cards/connect-abroad/

All the 'craap' I have been saying can also be termed as disrespectful but I took them on the chin and carried my L-plates. You too dey vex Erico grin grin!

The only reason they tell you to do this is for their fraud detection systems to be sure you're the one using your card abroad.

Traditional banks and challenger banks are not our family business except you're shareholders ofcourse...so no need taking anything personal on their behalf

We bail them out; we still get shafted!!

You argue too much simple!

Most of those that have commented have done so from the strength of their personal experience but rather than take it in it's stride, you chose to call them JJC.

On the flip, you are the same person speaking of being disrespected.

You can't change the perception of people's personal experience... Know this and know peace.

Just to answer your question, the challenger banks have flexibility and easy access. Attaching ones financial standing to being on the "electoral roll" or a bill in their name and rejecting them outrightly its not a fair game.

I had issues opening an account for more than 2 months when I just got in. Some of my family members still got rejected from HSBC after staying here for more than 1 year, working, and all.

He provided bills, council tax and still their system didn't just work for some reasons. And same people operate Monzo stressfree

Well I have stopped labouring on this issue but like I said B4, the traditional high street bank are THE banks.Anyone can open a Monzo account even undocumented people. These are almost cashless banks,if you check my old post I did say your financial history plays a role as to if you get an account or not just as when you go to the phone shops to try and get a contract phone or you car finance etc.my 1st bank account was with Royal Bank of scotland I think all I had then was my student ID, Passport, proof of where I was living and proof of my small Income then thats it.But I guess things has changed loads now.

If I were in your shoes at the moment? i would search the Shortage Occupation list for an occupation related to my first degree. I would then research what else I need to get a job in the UK in that field? do I need further training? What? Where? Experience needed? what kind and where?

It will need a lot of scouring the internet but hey ho faint heart never won fair lady.

In other news,I still need naira, people. Please quote me if you have got any. Thanks

I got the naira needed. Thanks to everyone who replied. Thank you

Absolutely unnecessary! BTW, here's the evidence you requested for where you called someone a "learner" cheesy. Nothing you say is going to change anyone's personal experience with these banks. I use Barclays and Monzo and I know how easy it was for me setting up my Monzo account as against Barclays.

I really pity international student especially, paid thousands to be locked up receiving lectures online, some unlucky to be in the most hit region with no chance of part time work

these unis didn't even offer discount and I'm sure they will be getting extra funding from the government!! good thing there is the 2 year post study

I dont get why universities are not offering discount.... not fair especially those who started in January. This model is not what they signed up for especially those with practically element to their course

Job after graduation is another tricky thing.... all this lockdown means more jobs are at risky. Those with UK experience no job, then what hope Is there for those without UK experience

Honestly? I don’t. They knew what they getting themselves into still they decided to pay thousands for online lectures just to leave Nigeria.

University can only offer discount to a student who was promised inclass lectures then it turns out the opposite direction otherwise no they should not.
Do you know that many Nigerians have paid thousands in tuition fee deposit and still studying online from Nigeria while waiting for visa?
I mean.. how silly? The idea of travelling abroad for studies in this pandemic and economic free fall is a really bad one.

Tell them not to and you will be called enemy of progress
