Yeah and you were also trained to murder unarmed civilians holding national flag and singing national anthem.

You were trained to run away from Boko haram, but to be strong against unarmed people.

You were trained to harras and oppress those who are weaker than you.

You were trained to be cowards and weaklings.

Only a weakling will attack or raise his hands against an unarmed person, but dignity or honour isn't part of your code. So, respect for human dignity is far flung from you.

You are not a professional in any way. You are just a bully, an abuser of human right and dignity. You are a weakling and coward.

I spit on you.
who gives a shit about human rights grin

This is why I vehemently oppose indiscriminate deployment of soldiers at every little issue in Nigeria. The training and orientation of soldiers are different. Their strategy for achieving results are quiet different.

Soldiers are trained to KILL and DESTROY. Military barracks are not same as police stations. Soldiers are not peace-makers.

We should upgrade the police to be able to sufficiently handle internal security issues if we really need to have a sane society.

In the good old days, civilians rarely see soldiers. in fact when soldiers enter a town people start running helter skelter. They said Na overfamiliarity dey kill. I bet you've never had a thing to do with the military. That's why you could even conceive such ideas. You think say Army Na police?. Ask Timaya what happened to his hometown in 1999. We no mind clear out a whole state and I repeat nothing go happen.
What happened to timaya’s village? You came with guns and killed men, women, children, goats and dogs and you feel like superman? Because they couldn’t fight back with guns? Can’t you even feel ashamed for boasting of destroying a village that couldn’t fight back guns for guns? When you went up against the biafran people who mostly were farmers you couldn’t beat them on a level ground for 3 fvcking years..boko haram fighters are not even half as ‘trained’ as you guys yet you can’t defeat them! You are always crying of poor ammunition as if boko boys have planes and tanks like the military..tufiakwa!

Young man, I can see that you still have a lot to learn. I have members of close family in the military up to General (will not reveal how many stars ) , and Commodore ranks. I can't give you the specific family relationship or their sex obviously for confidentiality. But in total, 8. Some retired, some still serving.

Also, I just saw your profile and can see that you are still in the NDA assuming it is still a 3 year course. Since you are from Kano or live in Kano, I can easily narrow down your name to the list of 13 candidates from Kano, but this is not necessary of course and I respect your privacy. What course are you studying by the way?

My advice to you is, be part of the change that Nigerians are asking for in their military, be a solution, be a role model.

I sincerely wish you the very best in your career. Please serve your country well.

Physical Punishment is so 17th century! Most American citizens who are civilians can shoot better than you guys! And that’s a fact. Getting flogged for 4 years and sleeping upside down for 4 years won’t teach you how to shoot, how to conduct modern battle phalanx, how to gather top security information and infiltration...you guys are so old school and that’s why insurgency has continued to bedevil this country.

I’m not here to argue, disagree or troll you bro. I just want to inform you that Nigeria military as a unit have a long way to go. The orientation and training is faulty. Your ideology is faulty. I don’t doubt the potentials but I have seen dialogues like yours online and offline praising the maltreatment of civilians and that disrespectful tag...” bloody civilian”.

You lot shouldn’t be using that. That’s cowardice. Nigeria Military is poorly trained. I’m not disrespecting them but stating the obvious. Arrogance and certain poor mentality need to be removed from you lot.
To be honest, Nigeria military is a backyard bully with buffed up pecs, arms and necks but with spindly legs. He threatens his face me I face you people till he went to another turf and was taught a lesson by a much fitter dude shorter but stronger than he is.

Nigeria military has an exaggerated impression of its capabilities or they might be aware of their short comings but like a coward bully only take out its frustrations on its household to feel secured.
Trust me when I say that there are lots of heroes here on Nairaland very well trained in weaponry but they don’t make noise and disrespect civilians.

You talking about your clowns and how they’d deal with civilians is like exalting a drunk bully who goes home to punch his wife. That I repeat again is cowardice.

If you've never been to the northeast shut the bleep up. Let me paint a scenario.
BH boys attack a town. Army is called to counter and capture back the town. Your average soldier is given 2 magazines of Ammo for that op. BH boys got an unlimited supply of ammo and cartridges. Your Ak rifle dispels bullet at a high speed . You might end up expelling your bullets in 5 minutes shocking right. Now imagine hearing Soldiers and BH in a gun duel for hours with such limited ammo. Your bullets finish you die. You retreat, you get arrested by the MP's and court martialed. It's left for you to use your sense and survival instincts.
This my brother is our dilemna.

Conveniently dodged my first question about massacre of villagers that couldn’t fight back..so a poorly trained boko fighter can subdue you guys with just more ammos? Get the fvck out of here with that hackneyed excuse..so what a group of poorly trained guys need to defeat an army that prides itself in being tough is just to have more ammos? You think you’re talking to novices here? Or people that don’t know about the military nationwide and even worldwide?

Get your facts right. I don't know for recruits., but Regular cadets get trained in weaponry, forensics, war tactics, defense studies, map reading and bearing coordinates, etc. We have potential, but the problem is with everything, the country, our leaders, and all thus old God damn Generals. Imagine the CNS and CDS are both NDA 26 Rc cadets. It's time the new school takeover. The past few days of protest has given hope and joy on a certain level to soldiers in case you don't know.

That's what I keep asking. Where are the so-called anti riot police? How can a sensible government be deploying soldiers who have been engaging insurgents in heavy firefighting to quell civil protests?

Nigeria don't have anti-riot police. What we have are soldier-like police who believe in killing and brutal use of force.

Even Nigerians themselves do not know that it is not right to have soldiers parading the streets and mounting roadblocks everywhere.

Soldiers are meant for WAR! BLOOD! DESTRUCTION! You call them in when there is an external invasion of your territory or when territorial integrity is obviously threatened.

They are never to be used in policing a democratic society. This is a vestige of military rule in Nigeria which must be discarded for the country to move forward.

In the military we obey the last order, there's no human right, that's why we are not supposed to have contact with civilians outside our bases and barracks.Direct your grievances to Sanwolu and Buhari, they killed protesters not those soldiers on ground.

You're talking sense brother, even when most people are bashing you here, I can see sense in what you're saying.
Alright, problem with military are some of the bosses on top but yet I think there can be revolution against those tyrants.
The status of Nigeria military has been downgraded and dragged in the mud. Our gallant soldiers are used by top officers to count score with Bokoharam. Nigeria military is a joke at the moment.
But top officers aside, I still think there's need for reorientation within individual soldiers. Normally a typical soldier has bully tendencies, like you take pleasure in bullying unarmed civilians. Even if police do this, it is an act of cowardice for military to engage in such. Military men are trained to kill in real fights with terrorists, they shouldn't be seen bullying civilians on the street.
Then like Corporal Martins and the masked guy, I think since some of you soldiers are seeing that your bosses are the terrorists, there can be a revolution against them. You should only obey the last order to a sane boss, not a terrorist hiding under military rank.
