The UK will be harder by the time you spent 20-30K in a year and end up jobless.. 9ja is not hard if you or your parents can afford to spend that much a year on foreign education.

Well there is also no guaranty they will be jobless...its a 50/50 chance worth taking. The negatives of Naija is not only about the poverty or lack of opportunities...it is also about the massive insecurity.

With the UK thing, you might not get a job you desire at first but you will definitely get something so it's a step worth taking...

I Personally believe people shouldn't be held back by the thoughts of not succeeding...if there is a chance of success then by all means go for it. If it doesn't work out as planned, then work out a solution around that circumstance...there's really no problem without a solution, we might not like the solution but there will always be one

Some sectors are affected with the covid thing but there are nigerians (outside the medical field) in the UK still changing jobs and getting higher paying jobs in this economy...

Life is all about sacrifice and putting in the time...

My advice for people coming in to study at this period is, come o but you must be ready to come for the right course (do proper research) and be ready for at least 3 years of sacrifice...dont expect any free lunch and be ready to take on 2/3 small roles after graduation so that you can get a big role down the line

How many Nigerian youths were killed because of that?

SARS is not even the major prob in Nigeria, hopefully SARS is gone for good but Nigerian prob is still alive and kicking

Exactly...let him use the one year master to do some IT certifications in addition to the masters then with that he can get any entry IT job at graduation...2 years of at least two IT jobs with at least 2 more certifications will give him an IT job with tier 2...if that doesn't work, UK masters with 2 years experience will settle him in canada very well...life is all about taking calculated risks

Seems you haven't visited Nigeria for a long time. There has never been a time UK claimed they had jobs or people should come and work except doctors and nurses.

Lol justwise so we should wait for SARS to kill 20 million youths before we start worrying shey? “After all, it’s just 40 young people that have died, What is 40 deaths of young people? After all, Nigerians youths are cockroaches!”

Lol.. so desensitised to deaths. America came and rescued 1 kidnapped person, you, you’re asking how many young people that have died in SARS hands, as if 1 is not even too much.

My point is..if i have £20-30K resting in my account as a Nigerian living in Nigeria right now..i will not invest that money in foreign education until a cure is found and economy stabilize

The people making such investments know this. But if the UK is hard now, imagine how “harder” Nigeria is.

You can’t even invest in a small shop because some thugs can loot your shop. You can’t invest in small medium business because Nigeria changes business regulations to favour the elite. You can’t even say you want to invest in forex, because SARS will say you’re yahoo yahoo.

So what’s the use having that money in Nigeria if you can’t even do anything with it.

I’ve always been against people coming here to study, until the post study. With the post study, there is hope. Whether it’s a menial job, or an actual job, there’s more Hope than in Nigeria where your employer will not pay you your salary for 4 months then fire you.

SARS killing people because they have good phone or dressed very well is true but the number of innocent ones are exaggerated and a lot of people including yahoo yahoo, kidnappers are using the same excuse.

Nigeria will not be better because SARS is gone.

My aunt just paid for her son to go abroad. She was like staying there and not working is safer than leaving her son in Nigeria wrote SARS will kill him for her. Some people are willing to pay that price just because Nigeria is not it at all!

You are right, just having loads of money in Nigeria is not enough, the insecurity is at its highest level. Anyone who can afford to leave legally should do so.

Chairman! E clear say e don tey you connect naija...SARS are not really interested in making arrests, it's the money they are after, which means if the actually catch a guilty person, those ones will pay their way out without stress...naija was not better because of them, they were glorified armed robbers

£20 - 30K will sitting down in your account and be doing what in your account. Hope you know that the military and govt are killing people unlawfully in Nigeria. You can't even go out because of sudden curfew.

I will rather spend my time and money on uk education than sitting down in Nigeria before stray bullet hit someone in the house who is observing curfew.

Right now that country is not safe and sitting down and wasting your time and your life is not advisable too.

Baba everyone have their reasons for their actions. Your concerns are noted and I believe they come from a good place, but I must also say, many like me spending that money, already know what we are getting ourselves into.

This has taken some years of planning... Please give us some credit.

Baba J, coro is the least of our problems. There are worst things and positions we are constantly battling with here in Nigeria.

But sha o! A campaign for some discount won't be a bad idea.
