I don't have anything, please can I just go with my sons name,I want to go to alausa tomorrow. He said the nimc is yet to drop,I don't understand all that ,he didn't give me the enrollment ID, calming me down it will be out today and now nothing. please who knows anyone at alausa probably an officer

If you have an enrollment ID, take it to NIS and check.

Went for re issue of the old passport and was charged 40k for 2weeks express which I paid, paid since last week Monday till now haven’t captured they kept telling me my record wasn’t found and they have to send to Abuja for activation and it takes 24hrs, it’s heading to 2weeks now no capture , only for them to tell me I will capture tmrw been Friday and will still tip them again so it will come out fast. We were told 15k for attestation of birth from NPC with duration of 2weeks.

The 42k was paid to someone at NIS to process new passport application. This fee covered everything he needed excluding NIN which he already had.

If you have all your documents, please go DIY route and save money.

An affidavit will work just fine in place of birth certificate or attestation.

I agree. An affidavit would work fine but some embassies have a preference for NPC birth cert.

Arrived at around past 8am and concluded around 10.30. Took a bit of time making all the necessary copies of required documents.

My only advise will be to do all the printing and photocopying before getting there, you'll be saving money. Only document you'll require photocopying is the form they'll ask you to fill.

Like everyone before me have said, the DIY route is seamless.

They asked me to come back next week. I might just give them an extra week to avoid any stories.

I went there today,there was an error on the passport so it hasn't been corrected. maybe you should go see for yourself maybe they made a mistake too .this agent are just bloddy nuisances.

DIY doesn't hurt in fact the best, if you encounter any issue or anyone ask you for money, send them a message on twitter. It's efficient

Yes , it was me. I dont know why antispam banned me.


I left ota by 5:30am and got to passport office by 7:00am. I had to wait until 8:00am before i was allowed in.we were asked to write our names on the visitor's log book. I wrote servicom as the place i was going to and they insisted i write the name of the officer i wanted to see.
I told them that i didnt know the name of anyone and they said i won't be allowed it until i write down the name of the officer whom i want to meet.

I entered when they were distracted by the crowd that was gathering at the time. When i got to servicom, i was asked again the name of the person i came see. Hian!! Shey person no fit enter govt office without knowing someone? I told them i wanted to see the person in servicom and also wanted to submit my documents for fresh passport application. I was given a form and fill and then directed to another man to assess my document.

He took my documents upstairs for the DSC or DSO approval, but he wasnt around till 11am because he was in a meeting. Later i started seeing files moving in and out of the office and people names where called while mine wasn't.

I went back to the man downstairs who took my document for approval to help me check if it has been approved. He came back and told me it has been approved but i guess snice my case was self documentation the officers in charge refused to take my document for verification and interview.

The man helped me and ensured that i was called for verification and interview. By 1:30pm i was done with capturing. The date for collection on the confirmation slip is monday 16th.

Court fee #500
Total #18300

Thanks for the detailed info. I knew they were stubborn in that place. Very unrepentant thieves especially among their bosses, the layout doesn't help either. Still shows that with the right info & tenacity you can still get your passport done yourself at the official cost

Left to me, would have loved to form a group aimed at DIY applications there, so we can make scapegoats out of those that hinder the process together. Some of these immigration offices need to be busted for public awareness, the rot is unimaginable in some states.

Very stubborn people. I went with all my documents , marriage certificate, state of origin certificate ,change of name both court affidavit and newspaper publication . At the initial stage they said why was the name on the application form different from the one on my state/local govt of origin. When they saw that i came prepared, they had to let me go

The DIY group is highly needed because those people that came through the officers and i who did the DIY method, did our capturing together and left almost the time.
