Thank you for this.

I can remember the occupy wall street protest in the US and how the government stopped it when it started going violent.

Even the antifa and black lives matter protest, when government saw the lootings and burnings, they sent the federal troops to bring law and order.
Look at what you just wrote, you should never compare the way the government treated protesters in Nigeria with the one of outside countries...
Do you know that Mali protested at some point and that protest lasted up to a month, black lives matter the same thing, but here the protest didn't even last up to 14 days your government brought in thugs to disrupt the protest and the army was sent by your government to start shooting at people protesting harming them and you call that government intervention rather than anarchy, you are not wise...

Good news

I love this.

Most people don't understand once you destroy things during protest, you are indirectly taking away your right.

Some people will say it ìs their constitutional right to protest, yes it is but also know that destruction, blocking of roads and airports, burning down buildings, and occupying Government buildings is no more a protest again but a coup.

Abi ooi. I don't see it as a protest again but a coup. They should shaaa let Lagos live in peace but rather go and face Buhari direct at Aso rock.

So police will be the ones to determine the right to peaceful protest & no more the Nigerian constitution? Shebi una never still get the message?

Same police that is constitutionally empowered to protect peaceful protesters while arresting miscreants? No tyranny have ever succeed against the resolve of a determined people. #EndSARS will be a child's play when another uprising will spring up.
Oga, why don't you go encourage same in your state, Abia?

Why are you people like this? You have such TERRIBLE character. If Lagos isn't completely BURNED TO THE GROUND INTO ASHES, people like you will NEVER be satisfied.

Your plans and prayers to turn Lagos into a wasteland will be resisted with all might. Go and organize your protest in Aba. Nonsense.

And the commissioner of police should go and rewrite our Constitution so we know that we no longer have rights to protest in Nigeria. Police have no right to determine who and when to protest but to provide cover for protesters.
Tomorrow they will say they are protecting our Constitution when they are actually abusing it.

Protest are not organic

Protest are organized.

So a protest can be stopped before it even start.

The government seems to be chasing shadows because it seems this has moved beyond mere protest to another stage they ever imagined.

Are you guys done blaming Igbos for burning down government properties in Lagos? I suppose those arrested for burning down Igbosere high court are Igbos?

One thing is certain, those who support tyranny always forget that they won't be in power for ever. 7 years ago, PDP never believed they will soon become an opposition party. And by the time you're done setting bad precedents, people like who were never in power to steal will come back to complain

The Oligarchs are totally taking control of Nigeria after the #ENDSARS protest.

They won’t allow protest.

They will apoint who becomes next president of Nigeria.

They will merely present the presidential candidate to the electorate for ratification by votes.

The International Community is deceived that Nigeria is a democracy.

The Oligarchs can then continue to milk Nigeria dry, subject citizens to further dehumanization.

The government has actually been playing it smart for a while now. That was why they did not allow the "revolution now" see the light of day because they know the kind of people they are leading.
Even the endsars one, you can imagine the speed with which SARS was ended so that evil people do not take over the protest, but all these indomine people who do not understand precedence thought protest was just about wearing sneakers and snapping pictures. Even in first world countries, if a protest stays too long people will take laws into their hands, it is a natural law of power.

My oga....The government didn't play anything smart. After they disbanded SARZ, they should have set up judicial panels, table all their plans to the people with a time frame, sack every police officer that committed offence recently....do things let the people see. Thats being smart...talking without doing in Nigeria doesn't work

WE are tired of reading all these bulliiisht and the reason Nigeria is called a zoo. Have you seen white people protest in their country; have you seen G20 protest every year by white people.

You claimed to spend billions in police reform but the outlook of the zoo police is so backward and no place in the 21th century.

The issue is this the zoo called Nigeria must go

All it takes is some time

You can't stop peaceful protest and protesters

The police would cause more chaos and problems for themselves

The north are backing them up, because this their recent tourism to sympathize nonsense is becoming rampant

I thought Nigeria was running a democracy. If so what is the purpose of this tyrannical statement from the police. The police is supposed to protect the lives and rights of its citizens. The police has no right to prevent citizens from forming a protest which is a constitutional right of the citizens.

Who gave them the stupid right to arrest protesters
Buhari and the northern oligarchs are trying to turn this country into a Fulani dominated country
Where lawlessness will be the order of the day
It's high time we go back into the streets with our guns blazing?
This lawlessness is becoming too much
Imagine in democracy where the police is bigger than the Constitution
Assassinating this biggots is the best option
