So police will be the ones to determine the right to peaceful protest & no more the Nigerian constitution? Shebi una never still get the message? Same police that is constitutionally empowered to protect peaceful protesters while arresting miscreants?

No tyranny have ever succeed against the resolve of a determined people. #EndSARS will be a child's play when another uprising will spring up.
Just left Lagos yesterday... The same police that are yet to return to their duty posts and absolutely intimidated. This idiot that released this statement is an enemy of peace.

Wrong approach.

You can not ban protests for no specific reason or reasons, you need a valid reason to ban or restrict protests.

This is what we need to do moving forward after the horrible and devastating destruction of Lagos state.

1. The protest organizers must notify and secure permit the police.

2. The protest organizers must let the police know exactly their location and gathering point.

3. The protest organizers must categorically state the start and the end of the protest which must end before dusk or nightfall.

4. The protest organizers must internally police their protesters within their ranks to make sure that they are not doing anything illegal and also must be ready and willing to hand over lawbreakers to the police.

5. The police must secure and protect the protesters from start to finish

6. Any protest or gathering elsewhere that's not affiliated with the recognized and approved permits is illegal and must immediately be be stopped and if necessary protesters must be arrested.

7. We can not have unsupervised thousands of protesters in hundreds of locations all over the the state doing whatever they want especially considering the fact that we don't have enough law enforcement personnel to police protests and protesters in countless locations all over the state.

Bottomline, organizers, state government and the police must work together to do things the right way and to make sure that the so called hoodlums and criminal elements don't take advantage of the protests to destroy the state all over again.

Protesting is entering a new phase in Nigeria and protest organizers must coordinate and they must work with the police to curb criminal elements are not taking advantage of peaceful protest to destroy the state.

For now, it makes no sense to stage protests while the state is trying to heal and rebuild.

It is unconstitutional for the Nigerian Police to say that it will not allow any protest in Lagos. If the people cry out for good governance and they are not getting it, they are entitled to express their grievance through peaceful protest like that of EndSARS. The people I expect the police to warn, are mischievous persons that are implanted among peaceful protesters, hired thugs that are engaged to disrupt peaceful protest, and persons who in any guise engage in riot or looting. Warning against peaceful protest in my opinion, may be counter productive. Please, the police warning should be against wanton destruction of public and private property. The police should uphold the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Didn't you see the level of destruction of lives and properties in lagos by the "protesters' hoodlums?
The destruction was a ripple effect of the military coming to shoot peaceful protesters.

That protest have gone on peacefully for eleven days before the government came up with their evil plan.

First they sent in their hoodlums to attack peaceful protesters. The protesters outsmarted them ,even caught some of the hoodlums and handed it over to the authorities.

When that failed, they unleashed the military to shoot people at night, and the whole city wen haywire.

So the government should be held responsible for any damage or loss of life resulting in this.

Lagos has the largest number of thugs and hooligans in the country. It is very easy to recruit such characters for any nefarious activity.
The plan of the anarchists didn't go as planned the last time. The police should be proactive and not wait for anarchist organisers to mobilise before responding. We know how the sponsors did the last one, use thugs to block roads, harass motorists and loot businesses. When public opinion changes, the "peaceful" protesters will then deny their foot soldiers or responsibilty.

Even if some organizers have one hundred peaceful intent, they cannot control the protesters nor direct how it will end. Whet they will end up doing is causing more destruction of lives, businesses and encouraging the most violent criminals to come out their shell.
Why should innocent young Nigerians be held responsible for the havoc wreaked by the ignorant foot soldiers of political elites?

This is one of the major problems with Nigerian politicians and their apologists. Instead of you people to address the fundamental issues, you are busy chasing shadows. Destruction of public and private properties is condemnable albeit many of the ’hoodlums’ who carried out these wanton destructions are politicians’ local boys from the hood(agberos, omo itas, and their ilk). The same people that politicians always use to win elections and the same people some politicians sent to attack peaceful and innocent #EndSARS protesters - hence: creating violence and destruction in the process. They are the same hoodlums that decades of failed leadership by heartless politicians denied education and pathways to economic prosperity because their continued state of ’hoodlumship’ is strategic to you greedy politicians’ hold on political power.

Instead of these politicians to condemn their boys from the hood and bury their heads in shame for enhancing a system that breads street urchins, agberos, political zombies and imbeciles, they are busy trying to flip the script on the average innocent Nigerian youths who are striving to make a living despite finding themselves in an environment that stifles dreams/ambitions. I still can't wrap my head around why Nigerian political elites are so greedy, heartless and shameless! Smh.

The police are wiser now. The last one, they deliberately stayed back in their stations so as not to be accused of suppressing the protest, thinking it will go away until the other non educated and unenlightened protesters (the thugs and hoodlums) took a queue from the educated ones at lekki tollgate and started blocking roads everywhere.

They also misunderstood endsars as endpolice. They took the battle to the police, killed and injured alot of them, while majority of the people were happy at their predicament, making them the greatest casualty in the last protest.

They're indeed wiser now and are trying to stop any protest that can lead to further massacre against them and their folks

The police now know that Nigeria is not Hongkong.

We have a long way to go. God help Nigeria.
so for your mind na, the police will continue to suppress protest and shut the mouth of protesters forcefully? You think we are operating a military regime right? The police cannot do anything..Thier power is limited..

I love this.

Most people don't understand once you destroy things during protest, you are indirectly taking away your right.

Some people will say it ìs their constitutional right to protest, yes it is but also know that destruction, blocking of roads and airports, burning down buildings, and occupying Government buildings is no more a protest again but a coup.
were the peaceful protesters the one destroying the properties? Or hoodlums who hijacked the said protest.

Bros stay peacefully indoors. The ego of the police was bruised by endsars protests and the destruction of the stations. The IG has permitted them to defend themselves with their guns. They will use their guns this time irrespective of people's feelings.

Moreso notice that the destruction in Lagos, for me, was by the agberos. NURTW now controls Lagos traffic. Okadas have gone beserk in Lagos.

Bros police will not hesitate to revenge.

The same work they do on a daily basis. Protesters are ordinary citizens, they have no special rights. We saw how "peaceful" protesters blocked roads and harassed people. They even lynched suspects.

revenge as in how now? Do you know what a mob is?
So do you think that the so called mob overpowered the police and soldiers just like that? Do you not know that the IG gave the order to all police personnel to not use their firearms? Specifically they were ordered to take off the magazines judging by the mood of the nation then. Why did the protest vanish in Lekki when the army attacked them? Do you think that those who looted could have proceeded in the face of army/police gunshots?

Look endsars protesters should take other methods to safeguard the lives of people. The principal reason for this move by the police is to stop the looting by rogues, destruction of property and killing of people. Did you see not the video of the cannibals who killed a policeman, roasted the body and ate it in the name of endsars? A DPO was chased into a gutter and right there stoned to death. Was that the aim of endsars? If you are carrying a gun, will you allow yourself to be killed without fighting back, when confronted by killers?

If you do not like this then how best should it be done? Or did you participate in the looting?

Business Success Secrets unveiled:

There is no way to eliminate all the risk associated with starting a business. However, you can boost your chances of success by adequate preparation and planning. The starting point will involve you answering some salient questions:
1. How well can you handle different sorts of people ( In business, you will meet the good, the bad and the ugly!)
2. How good is your decision making strategy? (In business, those who are good at making good and incisive decisions are usually successful)
3. Do you have the emotional and physical stamina to start and run a business? (Starting and running a business of your own can be physically and emotionally demanding.
Those who can stand the heat usually pack up midway
4. How good are you in terms of organizational skills, time management and planning skills? (Business involves lots of planning, organization and time management). If you can't juggle between running your own family and your business or organizing your account books, staff or taking inventory of stocks...then you need to reconsider going into business.

Are you also one of the wicked government officials who don't want any good for the citizens, I think you are one of them because if you are not I don't think you will be happy the way this evil politicians are enslaving the citizens. And the only way for the citizens to show that they are not happy is through this protest. So, please tell your colleagues that if the citizens decides to continue the protest that nobody can stop them except they are ready to kill everyone which will give this nation and government in whole a very bitter mark and name.
Okay, you can continue your protests but it should NOT be in Lagos which need time to heal and rebuild from the recent havock wrecked on the city.

You can go to Abuja, FCT for your protests as long as you want.

During the so-called 12 days of Peaceful Protests,

1) The rights of other Nigerians to free movement on certain roads were trampled upon by the 'Peaceful Protesters'

2) Several Police Stations were already set ablaze in Lagos.

3) The Convoy of Gov Oyetola of Osun State was attacked.

4) The Benin Prinson was attacked and they set the prisoners free.

5) The so-called 'Peaceful Protesters' failed to obey the curfew order imposed by the Government of Lagos State.

Disobedience to lawful orders is not part of being 'peaceful'
