Since you are coming from Yaba, just enter ikeja bus and drop at ikeja GRA, opposite Army cantonment there you drop then cross to the other side of the road( Mobolaji Anthony Bank) and ask of 1 isaac John or International Organization for Migration. Goodluck

1. Your School will indicate the CAS process on your unconditional offer.
If you have a conditional offer try to meet up with the conditions stated on your offer.

2. If the school says your waec is too old. Then follow the instructions or options stated on your offer. Or write to them if they need a letter from your school. Or apply to another school.

Uber? I'm going from Yaba tomorrow too.

However, you will get a direct bus to Ikeja from Yaba market. Alight at Isaac John and you will easily find your way.

Many thanks

Yes .... the only thing before for the dependent to switch to degree , they would have to leave the country and apply from outside. with covid HO is allowing in country applications . Hopefully that continues

You have obviously done your research and you know what you are talking about.

Make no mistake, ranking matters and it matters a lot, lets not kid ourselves, there is a reason why universities are always ranked top of the league not just in the UK but all over the world and each time you mention the name of that university it comes with respect and prestige.

The sentiment you have about Bedfordshire university is not that of the best in the UK or among the best.

Universities are ranked based on: Research, teaching , Industry Income, International Outlook etc when any university is constantly performing below average in those areas then the impression of such university will not be a good one and that will likely affect your employability.

professional engineering will give you an edge in job market over management engineering because you have a core skill. This is like someone who studied information management and someone with software engineering, software engineering will always be in front foot job wise.

I encourage anyone who has the opportunity/afford to attend the top ranked university to do so without hesitation, i regretted not burning the kindle, even take a loan to attend a much better university.

Good universities are good because they are doing something better than other universities and their graduations in top companies.

This is not to say that if you graduated from low ranked university you will not get a job, NO, that is not my point.

Thank you Justwise, I have gained some of the insights that I needed from your comments, and I think they are sufficient for me to make my decision now.

PS: If anyone else still has something to say specifically about my earlier questions, please don't hesitate to still say it.

when it comes to job market both two degrees are very similar and probably can do both job function that none will be better or give you more edge . It will boil down to how you hustle ,package and sell yourself

Where the school comes in , some school offer a higher quality of learning that you gain more and then the overall experience is better . From that angle I definitely would pick Sunderland before Bedfordshire. But for job prospect all na hustle

omopapa:
Absolutely NOT!!! University ranking doesn’t matter for MOST of the courses I know. All that matters is accreditation of the course by the professional body, your experience and certifications.

Thank you!!!

LagosismyHome, omopapa, justwise, Mimilyrics. Come to aid please. , my CAS is ready, my TB test is ready. Hubby just deposit my POF into my account this weekend. He want to pay for Visa fees and IHS tomorrow, so that and I can fill and submit and book appointment for biometric next month by then my 28days will be complete. He said by next month there will so much rush that I might not get appointment for a whole month. Please can we do this.

Just to add..There's so much more you can achieve with Alumini, everyone should try to tap into those sources of information, recommendation and possibly employement.

Politely reach out to any alumini in your field and make enquiries on the company they work for. You never know

Cheers

And when they reject you what would be the purpose of doing this. You would have wasted your application fees, you be sad and then go through the trouble of reapplying again taking more than the time you were trying to avoid. Please how does that make sense

Rules are put there for a reason and meant to be followed. Something as simple as a UK point based system, you see people doing too much and later when there is a problem coming here to cry

What POF did you use for your cas or your school didnt ask ?... anyway me I cannt advice you more than follow the official rules. It is there NOT for DECORATIONS but meant to be followed to the letter T... that the structure of a Point Based system .. the rules states your money must be in your account for at least 28days. If he decides to go against it then o well. Whatever the outcomes then you guys will take it like that . Simple .

If you want to beat any time frame /rush then it better you wait your 28days and pay PRIORITY or supper priority instead of standard application. That a wiser decision

My understanding is that it's the application date and not the biometric date that is used in calculating the 28 days. So, if you submit tomorrow, then that's the cut-off date that will be used to assess your POF, meaning that your funds would have only spent 2 days. I totally understand the desire to beat the December rush but you have to wait for the 28 days before paying for your visa fees and IHS so that you don't get refused.

Hello everyone, Gurus in the house. Firstly, please I'd like to ask if I should be worried about the UK address on my TB Certificate. Here's the thing, I did the TB test in August while I wasn't sure which University offer I will be accepting ( I have a couple of offers from different universities). So I have just decided to go with an offer from a Uni. in Cardiff but my TB certificate does not carry this University's address but my previous flat address in Scotland. I hope this is not a problem when applying for my visa?

Secondly, can I use the bank statement that was printed 3 weeks ago in applying for TIER 4 VISA? (I still have my maintenance funds and all intact in the account). I and my family will be applying together, and these are the documents that I am planning to submit with my application;

CAS
DOCUMENTS LISTED ON MY CAS
BANK STATEMENT
KIDS BIRTH CERT.
MARRIAGE CERT. & WIFE'S CHANGE OF NAME ADVERT.
PASSPORTS
LETTER OF INTRODUCTION & SPONSOR (WIFE AND KIDS)
TB CERT.

I hope you can assist me in reviewing this and give me your suggestions. Thanks.

Just pay 8,500 into IOM standard chartered account, and go to their office between monday to friday 9am to 1pm to make the changes to the address. they will attend to you immediately and reissue your certificate. I just did same last month.
