After thinking of the over 200 million worth of alcohol destroyed in Northern Nigeria. I began to think about the negative impact of imported religion in Northern Nigeria.

Whichever way you see it, the south is still benefiting from Religion. The religious centers in the south have no direct hold on the political structure of the south but still benefits the people both directly or indirectly through tourism, job creation, education and even healthcare services.

Imagine, over 30 private varsities in Nigeria were birthed by Churches. They are not free but generate jobs and lessen burden on govt universities.

UBA has 12000 staff. Imagine a church recruiting 10,200 Pastors who would be paid monthly irregardless of the income generated from these branches. That would touch at least an extended 50,000 people in their families. I have a friend who had no job for a while now and has been employed by the church as a pastor. Being paid for doing what he loves. Congrats to all of them.

This comparison is stupid at best.
Every year, UBA releases it's income statement. We know where the profits go and the taxes paid.
Winners does not do that.

I tapped into the Church Planting Program earlier in the year with a consistent monthly seed into the dedicated account that will help pay for the salaries of all pastors, workers and missionaries that will work with these rural churches. God has seriously dazzled me this year. No single financial or health downtime even during lockdown.

the most successful industries in Africa are politics and religion, and the worst part of it is that people are the commodities.

Winners does not do that.

Yet every month UBA and other banks collect ac maintenance, stamp duty, blah blah blah. Show me one account where you can earn any interest in a Nigerian bank these days. Even treasury bills people were eating from has collapsed. GTB CEO bought an expensive Mustang costing nearly N100million to celebrate his pending exit from the bank.

I would rather put my money in God's vineyard than in any Nigerian bank. My God proved to me this year that He is not a robber.

Meanwhile , with all our churches Nigeria is still covered by darkness.

OK, no wonder this new branch near my house has a new Pastor.

BTW, I like how Winners plant churches because they give initial funding to kickstart the new churches unlike another popular church we all know that sends a Pastor to new branches with little or NO financial help. They have to build from scratch. Make I end am here.

Must it ALWAYS be North vs South?

I'm begining to think Southerners are way more bigoted than the North we always accuse of bigotry.

More like Winner’s chapel employs about 10,200 tithe collectors.

This is one of the beauties of religion anyway, employment, reducing the number of the unemployed people in our society

If your claim is true, you'll open your own church

10,200 jobs, that's fine, it reduces unemployment rate, but on the other hand, to do God's work well, it is better to be called by the Lord, it avoids fake branches pastors without Holy Spirit than we see very often. cool cool cool
