I did not understand the guy tho. Obviously, Ourtv doesn't have multi-stream even though it has the capacity. I am so disappointed right now cos I already make my order. I go manage am sha. At least, I should find solace in their exclusive channels.

They say when life gives your lemon, you make lemonade. No doubt, having a decoder that has multistream feature is good. However does it really completely limit your ability to enjoy fta to a satisfactory extent for now ? The answer to that question maybe no and these are my personal reasons.

When you hear a particular hype about a new or existing kind of feature in some brand of receivers. First thing to consider is, do I really need it? Even if I do, is there another way to get something similar with my existing setup, that makes it not to be completely useless?

First step to take towards answering the above question is to take note of the purpose of that multistream feature. As a case study, let look at one of the reason you keep hearing people being so interested in multistream decoders and to a reasonable extent the people that mostly but not entirely falls into that category.

They are sports lovers who got to know that there is a channel like gtv sport plus and max TV that airs their favourite games. Because of that singular news, a new wave or quest to have a decoder that has a multistream feature became the new normal. Just like in the case when ourtv was doing a test transmission which was only receivable by H.265 enable decoder, it also ushered in a new wave that died slowly after it was scrambled and later got awakened again when tstv channels was only viewable by h.265 decoders, that too got scrambled. Imagine that!

Exactly! He should have just admitted the decoder doesn't have multi-stream and let it go instead of adding salt to the injury. I mean, there is nothing entirely wrong with Ourtv not having multi-stream, just admit it it doesn't and let it go! You are right to some extent. But, the fact is, we all cherish unlimited possibilities, opportunities football or not, human nature cherishes and loves to explore beyond what is used to.

I mean, that feeling of having unlimited space and opportunity to see and explore beyond that walls of barrier. I am not a lover of football ( I used to, had to quit before I die of a heart attack) but I love the feeling of having the unlimited opportunity to see beyond what I am used to seeing or knowing.

I feel there is nothing wrong with Ourtv not having multistream but common! This recorder has got all it takes( the capacity), so why limit yourself, your (more) potential customers? And why can't you just accept you don't have that and let those who will buy a none multistream buy rather than claiming you have such when you don't in fact?

It's called marketing. Probably his job description does not allowed him to make such utterances in a public forum. Which led him to redirect you.

His job is to promote the product and not degrade it. So Make We leave am like that.

Watching those channels on 12645 V 30000. Is still the same feel I get when I watch all those Joy tv stations. I feel completely bored. So what's the point getting yourself all worked up about multistream. You can only be worked up if what is there is second to none. Which is not the case

Also, you should that you've been in this hunting game for quite a long time than myself so, it's normal for you to feel that way and besides that, what bores you may not bore me, and remember, y/our satellite position may vary and so the multi-stream channels we have access to. Lool!

When I used to pay for the installation of fta I had to make do with the annoying joytv(Ghana multi tv sat) for over a year without a complain,and with the limited Nigcomsat channels ( just 7-8 channels) until trybe and co disappeared out of the thin air but still, I dey gidigba. How much more now that now I have the capacity and knowledge to explore unlimited sats and channels on the same fta without paying a dime? Do you understand that feeling?


Fact is, even with Ds**t**v explorer or what have you you will still get bored no matter how hard you try to satisfy your craving for TV and love for satellites FTA. It's an in/personal thing.



My love for Christians channels can not be quench because of my religion believes and the fact that I can explore beyond our local TV stations satellite unlimited, that's more than enough for me mehn! Lool

You can't understand that feeling; the joy it brings is beyond the sat but the opportunity to explore and DIY.

What is meant by multistream is that Ourtv decoder can connect up to four different satellite dishes thereby enabling streaming from different radio signals.

After taking the time out to read between the lines, I found myself wondering how someone who wants a decoder with an unlimited boundaries ended up going for Ourtv? Because on many many many occasions, it was said many times over that it does not multistream. Yet you still went ahead to order for it, only to still come back here to say you are interested in a decoder with endless possibilities. Hmm, really confusing.
