Let me add to what Geniyus43 noted, AliExpress Standard Shipping is not always free of Customs checks. My Mi Note 10 screen protectors pack was opened by Customs last week. Also, if AliExpress Standard Shipping ships your device or any of your orders with EMS, you're in for a long thing!

Again, December is here!

My redmi 8 was snatched from me on Monday, just got Redmi 9 now but I'm unable to import my contacts from my Gmail. I've tried getting the procedures from Google, but I seem not to get it.

Please I will be grateful if anyone can help me out. Thanks in anticipation.

Hello Crew, I bought the Note 9s Friday and i installed ampere just to monitor the charging rate. Initially I did see 3600mah and then it fluctuated along but I did not give it too much attention up until yesterday.

I noticed that even under flash charge, my phone charges between 500mah and 1520mah which should be ridiculous for a phone that manufacturers claim to charge at 18 watts. Please did anyone else experience this and is there something I could do to resolve this?

Mind you the phone takes a while to charge but I haven't recorded how long yet as it's just been two days.

You seem not to understand how fast charge works.

A phone won't charge at 18W from 0-100%

The period of fast charge is usually between 0-70/80% and it slows down from there to reduce heat and not damage the battery.

Redmi Note 9s takes 1:45mins to charge which almost around the same time my 4000Mah battery charges using QC 3.0(18W).

Which phone?

Hope you don't use your phone while charging, as well as switch on data while charging?

Your calculations is probably based on when you're using the phone and charging simultaneously, the note 9s takes an average of 1.50 to 1.55 hours to fill up

That is why. Your data been on increases heat. Temperature affects battery be it discharge or charging. So the SOC will have to regulate the charging speeds as regards the temperature at every point in time.

I do understand how batteries charge.

My concern is as follow.

1. Charging appears a bit slow.
2. Noticed that the battery charged at 3.6A(3600mah) just once ever and for a brief moment.
3. After some time, charging fluctuates and it's not even up to 80% at what point charging starts to wind down. At say 50%, the phone is taking in 2.5A in one moment and another, phone is drawing just 1A or 1.5A or even worse .5A(500mah). For flash charging or even regular charging, shouldn't it maintain an almost constant amperage until 80%?

My problem is inconsistent amperage for a phone that's barely used. Also shouldn't the phone draw more power when it's in use or before 80%? My Umidigi Power (5150mah) usually draws 2.5A during normal charge up till 80% but under use while charging, it could go as high as 2.6A and 2.7A on heavy use. If the phone could go as high as 18watts, 0.5A, 1A, 2A should be a cause of concern except in the instance where the phone is actually using 9V:2A.

The fluctuations are a cause of concern and could this be the reason why the battery appears to be charging slowly?

You should have used mi cloud for your back up na. That Google contacts back up is not reliable. I save all contacts to mi cloud automatically, it is my default contacts 'save to' destination. You can go to contacts.google.com. Save your contacts as .vcf file them export them to mi cloud.

No. A phone with good efficiency won't be drawing more power under heavy use otherwise you battery health is at stake.

That is why you are Normally adviced not to use your phone while charging.

RN9s actually takes more than 1:45 mins with an 18 watts charger. It takes 2 hours+ from 0-100%
