When I decided to donate my eggs, to my husband sister there was a point where I was having issues with my husband. We were even at the point of divorce. I had moved out of my husband house, but I didn’t have enough saved up. I knew I had promised my in-law who was having issues with her fertility At the time, so I filled out an application at the hospital and with the help of my lawyer. I didn’t really start thinking about it seriously until after I was accepted. After I started going through the process of getting approved, I felt like I couldn’t back out.
While you’re taking the hormones, you’re not supposed to drink, or take any drugs or medication stronger than Tylenol, or have sex. I stopped taking my anti-anxiety medication — I didn’t tell them I was taking it because I thought they might not accept me if they knew, and I didn’t know how it would interact with the hormones. Luckily, I was in a pretty good place with my mental health. After the actual procedure, they were just like, Okay, cool, good luck out there. I had some cramping on and off for a couple weeks, but the recovery wasn’t bad.
The approval process took a couple months. There was a questionnaire, a genetic scan, and a lot of blood tests. One time, I fainted because I hadn’t eaten anything that morning, and they took six vials of blood. But I came in so often that I started to become friends with the nurses. They were so nice, and they were a big part of what made the experience so positive for me.

See there is this joy that come with helping a love one or family member when they are in need. I’m proud of what I did and how I play my role helping my sister in-law become a mother today, there is no better joy than this. Three weeks my sister in law gave birth to a baby boy and I’m glad God used me to aid this process. Meet her baby boy
