If your goal is to track

28.2 /32.9/42.5/51.5

All in one dish?

Then I can give you an idea that works like a charm, to use .

@Digitman2

Yes that's exactly my goal,
I sometimes manage to get a new satellite with an extra lnb but what to use to hold it is the problem.

so I need options please

@WaytoGo

Are you using a multiple lnb setup for all the satellites that you have tracked or you track one satellite, mark the position and switch to another satellite with the same lnb

None of the above for now. But..
Multi Lnb is my next move/target---using the distance between elevation level and space in between azimuth.

Now let's begin.

In my previous post
I listed four satellite position in a hurry

But it's actually five , namely

Astra 2F @ 28.2E Tp 12522 V 30000

Intelsat 28 @ 32.9°E Tp 11015 V 30000

NigComSat 1R at 42.5°E Tp 12519 H 29500

Belintersat 1 at 51.5°E Tp 11090 V 30000

Eutelsat 16A at 16.0°E /Amos 17 at 17.0°E strongest Tp 12606 H 30000

Then blind scan

Now back to the Diy materials and process.

In the past some have used just bidding wire to achieve that, and some fabricated metal.

I did try that too but was not too relaxed with the flexibility and after effect.

So that got me thinking of that one thing that could hold everything together in one sliding straight line and still did not loose signal with time or when pushed by wind.

That is how I looked around me and saw something

In the two image attached you will notice

The cooling system you normally see at the back of a fridge. In this modification we will be using the coolant tube.

At this moment I know some of you will be thinking how will I get that.

Well it's really that easy... You can either get it from all these scavengers or look for anywhere they repair refrigerators.

Luckily for me I already have a spoilt fridge that has been useless for years. So I quickly cut out the size I need for my Diy experiment

So I took a measuring tape and cut out about 24 inches, too long though but I just wanted a little extra

Next step what to get everything I need in place to get the job done

As you can see in the below image

In this particular setup, I decided to use 28.2 degree as my primary lnb.

So without adding anything yet, I tracked 28.2 joy tv position.

Then it was time to slot in the coolant tube pipe

Please pay attention to the image to see exactly where to slide it in

After that you twist it up

Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by Digitman2(m): 12:10pm On Nov 18, 2020
Now it's time to use your bidding wire to narrow the gap to the size of your lnb

You will notice it just on top of the joy tv lnb

Next step is to connect your wire to the one of the extra lnb and slide it into the pipe.

Connect the wire to your tracking device
. Bearing in mind that the next lnb that comes on top of the 28.2 will be 32.9 degree

Using this frequency 11015 v 30000.

Then you slide it an inch to your left if you are standing in front of your dish ( which to me is the best place to stand when doing the job)

Or an inch to your right if you are standing at the back of your dish

Your signal will pop up that easy

Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by Digitman2(m): 12:32pm On Nov 18, 2020
Next step is to connect wire to another lnb, this time you're going to track 42.5 degree east.

Which will be on top of the 32.9 you just tracked.

Using this frequency 12519 H 30000.

Once again you slide it in with your eyes on your tracking device and the signal will pop up that easy.

Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by Digitman2(m): 12:43pm On Nov 18, 2020
Remember to always use your bidding wire inbetween the lnb to create a grip.

Moving on its time to slide in the fourth satellite position .

Which is 51.5e

Using this frequency
11090 V 30000

With your wire connected to another lnb and to your tracking device once again.. You slide it in with your eyes on your tracking device and signal pops up so easily once again.

For each of them, check for the highest possible signal before moving on to the next.

Then just below the primary lnb you can attach the fifth lnb

Which is 16/17 degree east

Using this frequency

12606 H 30000 blind scan afterwards

Wow!

You are a rare gem. This is priceless, you've just saved me, a whole lot of us here from going through the stress of technicality of mult-lnb on a dish.

This is a great sacrifice and contribution from you.

God bless you, bro!
