So, you expect your visa to be issued on an expired passport? Yes, you can renew even before that 6 months, and July is such a long time, how come you never renewed it ever since?

@Chonco, you know you don't exactly have to answer all questions. You can just ignore if you are not sure.
How much is reciprocity fee? Easy and objective
Some other questions are not that straightforward and one needs to be tact about it. This your advice is not it, don't be the cause of someone's misfortune

If you try these and nothing shows up, have it in mind that you didn't save your initial application and this will cause you to fill in a fresh DS160 form.

Don't forget to come along with the old and new one for your interview. If the VO demands for the old one, present it or you can just present the two together indicating the old and new. I hope this helps.

I am not sure he is good oo. Says passport must be valid at least 6months beyond your intended duration of stay in US. So if u are going for a two years program, your passport must still be valid for 2years 6months. I had to get a reissue in a hurry because of this criteria even though the previous hasn't expired.

When's your intended date of arrival? Jan i guess.
Since it's not expiring in 6 months from Jan, i don't think it should be an issue since it can't be renewed as stated by immigration service.
What some do is renew their passport when they arrive US at any of the four Nigeria embassies in US.
But if it's possible to get a new passport between tomorrow and Monday, fine and good.

Sorry for responding late, I had to confirm from her first before replying. She said it's the sponsor's full name and company name with 26k+ as SOA and 28k+ as available balance.

I think one can still use a personal SOA even after being denied with a corporate SOA. You can inform the VO that you brought a personal SOA of your sponsor this time around.

I filled my dad as my sponsor, my interview is in two weeks, but my dad is presently not in available to get the SOA. my uncle who is a medical doctor is willing to help with his SOA and with a written note regarding that as my sponsor but my dad's name is reflecting on ds160. Will this affect in any way?

Your dad could request his statement be sent to him via email and forward same to you.

Here's my transcript. Was interviewed on 13th Nov. 6am. When I got in, it was only one vo that was doing the interview. Then another joined him, this one speaks very fast. This guy denied the guy in fornt of me, denied me and the guy behind.

Me- (quite apprehensive here cus I was not expecting this qst) renewable and sustainable energy.

(Then he asked for my statements, glanced through it and gave it back. It had twice the sum)

Me- no, I have had no reason to.
That was all. Gave me the green slips that states I'm ineligible under section 214 (b)....unable to demonstrate strong ties. How would I have demonstrated strong ties with those four qst? No why master or what will this degree do for you. Sad stuff. I however noticed ppl with full funding got their Visa regardless their performance. I felt I would have explained when he asked "to specialize"?
And stated I had 5k scholarship for 2 yrs before I say my parents would sponsor. I was purely unlucky. Immediately the vo started interviewing guys, I knew he would disturb cus of the way he was speaking. I'm confused as to what to do next. If I am to reapply and move to Abj. The issue here is probably with your school. Wright State University seems to be frowned upon at the embassy and it has low approval ratings at the embassy. Change your school and try again.

No, what was extended was the visa fee. Till 31st Dec, 2021
