Ok, thats gud. He shud spray both top and bottom of leaves. One research shows that when u do this, u will control whiteflies successfully without using too many pesticides at once. He shud also clear surrounding bushes with herbicide.

For sometime now I can't update regularly about our tomatoes adventure because of two reasons one is dry season stress and two is a complete crash in my health,back to business,the tomato nursery was a success as we had 80-90% germination,we also made use of used satchet water bags as an alternative to nursery trays,a water sachet company nearby is quite happy for us to take away their trash,the tomatoes Padma f1 are 4 weeks today and we will start transplanting tomorrow,pls we will appreciate any advice from tomato farmers on the way forward

The water satchet bag is an interesting medium to use for planting of crops that needs nursery like pepper, tomatoes,eggplant, cabbage,etc,African solutions for African problems ,a visit to a nearby water factory will provide you with limitless quantities of damage bags that if filled with soil and manure will provide a most suitable medium to plant and also trans plant without transplant shock,and crop can also stay longer in it due to bigger size

The nylon will be removed . It's just the molded soil with tomatoes that will be transplanted.

Well you won't have this issue during this dry season unless you do overhead irrigation, spray once a week during this dry season with a mancozeb based contact-systemic fungicide as it's cheaper than the copper based fungicide. If the farm is already affected newly, cut off all infected leaves, and bury them far from the farm. Spray the farm with a copper based fungicide and alternate with the mancozeb fungicide every three days until the spread is stopped
N/B: insecticides are sprayed every three days during this dry season!
Concentrate on insect control this dry season, and irrigate properly
