I got admitted to Glasgow Caledonian University and Robert Gordon University. I was able to defer to September 2021. Please are post graduate students in scotland eligible for the 2 years post study permit?
I plan to get some IT certifications like comptia, checkpoint and palo alto here before I start my application process. My first degree is petroleum engineering however I was admitted for Energy management. When I read the post of the guy who said healthcare is the moving sector at the moment, I felt a bit discouraged. Please can anyone tell me if any of these fields are lucrative or if my plans are valid? My people keep insisting on Canada but I have a refusal there already and I don't feel like trying again. I am having a hard time convincing them to accept the scotland offer because they feel UK can switch up and send us back. I really need advice. thank you

Scotland is part of the UK.

Canada is difficult to get to (their approval rate for Nigerians not encouraging), but once you get a student visa, complete your course, and get a post-study permit, you're on a path of sorts to permanent residency with their CEC and other programs. On the other hand, the UK is way, way easier to get to on a student's visa once you satisfy the requirements, and much more difficult to stay back in.

If they are not doing interviews again, there no way anybody can know the student is pregnant and showing except at airport/ port of entry

No you dont need POF ...but if the child is ever born before the pregnant woman travels then yes as the baby needs it own Visa and passport

It is not easy schooling with a new baby and childcare cost is expensive, the pregant student should take that into consideration

Brothers and sisters in the house, to get CAS from my school I need to send 28days statement. I deposited money on the 6th of November, and started counting from 7th December. I intend printing the statement of account on the 4th of December which is the 28th day. It's on a Friday and I don't want to wait till Mon before printing the SOA because I want to quickly apply for Visa before the December rush. I just need affirmations from you people to know if I'm doing the right thing.thanks

If you can convince the ECO on the importance of your kids being with you while your husband in Nigeria, you and your kids will be granted but as this will be within the ECO's discretionary powers, it has a 50/50% chance.

You should include a cover letter which details the above along with correspondence from / arrangements with a nursery which you've contacted; you should state that your kids will be there while you're in school so that your study won't be negatively impacted. This usually helps.

From people's experiences, yes but it will cost you about N42,000 and it's not a given that you'll be able to do walk-in on a certain day.

You're definitely being milked.
Pls check your application to verify that the "agent" didn't fill any untrue information on your application as this may cost you later.
Also download a copy of your application for reference and info verification when you're filling future applications.

Thank you dear. I have paid for visa fees the agent is asking for submission fees plus courier service fees 32,000. I asked him why he said is for submission of documents and courier fees.

This is the reality and truth for some people. However, my advice would be that anyone planning to come to the UK to study now should do alot of research and ask questions from people there already. What I've observed so far is that in some areas even with the covid 19, there are still alot of jobs while in some areas, nothing at all.

So when looking out to make a choice on the school, also remember the location is very important, don't just go for any location, I can tell you that there are areas you would easily get jobs but if you are in a location that there is no job and then the only areas you are getting the jobs is miles away from you then transportation and all comes in and it's harder.

Then I believe when coming have a mindset of wanting to achieve something and focus on it, be resilient and be prepared mentally for the negatives and positives but have a mindset to make it through.

PS- I'm a dependent, however my wife who is the student attends lectures online at least 4 days a week one of the lecturers even called for a one on one class at one time, she has also been called for some student jobs that have offered her some pounds per hour. I on the other hand coming from Nigeria with some experience in the space of less than a month have been called for at least 3 to 4 interviews, got two offers already and all.

That said, please research and ask people that would be honest with you questions, also pray and ask God for directions and be resilient and keep believing things would turn out good. Apply to alot of job and be ready to improve on yourself.

I love your response and positivity. The fact that cars kill people on high way accident doesn't mean many people wont buy one or more. There are opportunities in the UK, even far better than in Nigeria at the moment. One just have to ask questions and research. Challenges are different, what student bayo would face is different from what student Halima may face. But I believe nigerians are survival. The UK will be rolling out a point based immigration system in January 2021, with what is going on and how they are gradually bouncing back, I think more job opportunities would be created in 2021.

Yes you will be granted a visa but though the baby is not born yet.. you still need to show that you have enough money to take care of that baby when you deliver in the UK.

So the question is...

1. how are you going to cope with pregnancy and full time studying?

2. When you give birth what happens to your studies?

3. Are you travelling with someone who will help you before and after delivery?

You need to declare in the form that you are pregnant showing or not and put details of how you plan to handle the situation else the embassy will likely consider the well-being of that unborn baby first before your need for foreign education

From experience of relatives
1. Applied without hubby and two kids - was denied
2. Applied as case one but contracted a care giver in the UK,had an agreement drawn, this agreement was attached to application and she was granted student visa alongside her kids.
My advice go ahead with option 2, use Google, search around your school for care givers, hopefully you find one and it might work

If you've got pictures and any joint bills together, it's okay.

Wedding will take place December 24th. We will be applying early next year as against May intake.

I don’t think we will be having any joint bills.

Are we still good?
