My exam starts next week after three months of online learning. I booked a flight for Saturday already. I've paid for quarantine plans sef. I've made concrete plans that would go to waste if I don't travel this week. VFS is just making me stressed.

Please do we have to do corona virus test, Ethiopian airline said no, but some people are saying Nigerian immigration would ask for it

Good evening, please when I want to upload a letter on regarding my application but whenever I open IRCC webform I don't see country I want to send the webform to, I just click on upload and it goes, I just want to confirm if that's the right way to do it.

Please this is urgent because I did one on Friday and I'm not sure if I did it right or not.

Please if have the requested docs, try and send across via webform otherwise ignore and be patient for a month before your application will resume processing under the normal channels.

Please try not to ignore, the NSE, it makes a big different to your application, the IELTS required is not for fun, you will be doing your application a big favour if you submit the required documents but if you don't have them there is nothing you can do

Good evening all. Pls i just did my bio metrics today, I don't know what to do next. Pls I need guidance. I can see people talking about NSE letter, does this mean for those that applied to schools that don't require IELTS and have gotten admission would still need to do IELTS b4 another stage of the visa process? and do we need to quickly register for IELTS especially for those who didn't register initially to meet up with the NSE deadline?

Secondly, what of medicals, how can one do medicals ahead to avoid delays?

Lastly, now that biometrics has been done , what next.

Please kindly assist with the answers, I dont want to be left in the dark. Help pls

Thanks in anticipation

I don't even know. My agent just sent the letter to me. I'll ask them tho.
The deadline is 30th December but I am writing the computer based test because the results would be out in 3-5 days.

@Fratermathy, @Justmellow, @Frankrobbn1 and other gurus. Thank you always for the great deal of work, contribution and guide you are always giving in this forum. Your generations to come will always enjoy the faithfulness of God almighty.

Please I wanted to ask questions, I was having a conversation with a friend that got his visa approved . Kindly put me through.

1. Please if one is approved now for graduate studies and has deffered till fall 2021, how early and how soon can one travel to Canada but resumption is still September 2021(orientation starts August 10th and classes starts September 9th?

2. Also what is the earliest time of travel that one can get his SIN?

3. If one has funding that will be approved, in may/June but needs ones physical presence in Canada before one can be credited for fall 2021, how soon can one travel to Canada?

Thank you as I anticipate kind clarifications from great contributors here because I have assured my friend of sure answer to my questions because of the wealth of knowledge here.

Once again, thank you

God bless you all

Ethiopian Airlines doesn't need the test and Canada doesn't need it. I'm not doing it. Ignore anyone who tells you otherwise without proof.

Hello hello. Regardless of the school you applied to, you still have to do IELTS for the NSE. With NSE, it means your application will be fast tracked. It's a program only for Nigerian applicants to hasten the visa application process. Unfortunately, we can't explain why they want Ielts from Nigerians, we just v to do it
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Akiinwale: 9:37pm On Nov 30, 2020
Hello, can anyone advise on how I’ll go about this please. Thank you
Akiinwale:

I studied intelligence and security studies for my undergraduate but the course i applied for now is a pgd and its unrelated (business marketing).

I chose this course because I’ve been working as a business manager in a family business and I’ll to gain a degree on that but I’ve noticed from the threads I’ve read that this might be a problem as it is unrelated to my degree, how do i go about properly explaining this when i write my SOP.

The school i applied to is Seneca college based in Ontario

I know it’s your call but I think you are rushing the process. I would’ve done my exams home in Nigeria and then travel late December or early January to commence a new semester/term (Winter).

Considering the distance, flight time and possible jet lag and nauseous feeling after a long flight, it may be unsettling to do an exam immediately.

Fingers crossed, all will end well.

I have my reasons for wanting to travel as soon as possible. Things haven't been easy with me and I'm a student with scholarship money that is frozen in Canada; money that I need urgently.

Sir, so either Ielts GT or AT is allowed? Tot it's just AT... I would rather opt for the GT then cos that's much easier for me...
JustMellow:

Hello Bidemialade43,

The proficiency letter won't suffice. If NSE is your desire processing Stream, then either IELTS AT or GT would be sufficient.

For IELTS practice, you can self-study using YouTube to practice with LizIELTS for Writing, IELTSonline.com for Listening and Reading, E2Jay, IELTSadvantage. If you're focused, you would score 8 overall even though the required is 6 overall.

All the best

Please how much did you pay for quarantine plan and how did you go about it. I learnt for MUN we ought to fill a form before arrival.

Basically, you pay for an on-campus residence for the quarantine period and then fill the online form before arrival. I paid for a one month lease of $800. That lease starts on the 5th but with this VFS wahala, I can only bite my lips at this point.

I will strongly advise you to opt for the NSE, you'll get a faster processed application I beg of you. Normal route will take much much time and I hope you won't have to defer for the 3rd or 4th time.
OtunbaTee:

Na to defer o...me I have deferred twice now, and I just sent them another email that I want to defer to may 2021, no update here too..got NSE letter, but I'm going for normal route!

I got the one at Signal Hill. My graduate administrator suggested this one and it has a lot of nice facilities too. It's basically like a condo and it's not shared.
